After finishing in second place at the 1974 NCAA Division III National Championships, there was only one more goal to achieve – to bring home the national title. At the 1975 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, which were hosted by John Carroll, the Blue Streaks captured the title thanks to four national champions. Mark Hawald (134), Charles Becks (150), Brad Bowman (177), and Joe Bertolone (Hvy) were National Champions and Jack Mulhall (126) was a runner-up. The Blue Streaks scored 111 team points to pull away from Montclair State (96), and 1974 national champion Wilkes (92). In the 42 year history of the NCAA Division III Wrestling Tournament, only ten teams have won a team title and of those ten teams only seven currently compete in Division III wrestling.
