WHOWILL THE 2017-2018 DONATIONS BENEFIT? WHEREWERE 2016-2017

FUNDS ALLOCATED?LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENTDear friends and supporters of JCHS,We look forward to providing another year of educational excellence at John Carroll High School, and we are glad that you are an integral part of our school family. Our largest fundraiser of the year is the Annual Giving Campaign, and your support and participation is important to us!

The Annual Giving Campaign is a coordinated effort by JCHS to raise funds that best serve its current and future students. The generosity of our alumni, parents, employees, community members, and stakeholders supplements the costs of:

• academic and extracurricular programs• provides tuition assistance for students• attracts and retains excellent teachers• fulfills the wish lists of the faculty and staff, and much more

Thank you for your support. May God bless you and John Carroll High School!Sincerely Yours in Christ,

Rev. Thomas E. BarrettPresident

TUITION ASSISTANCE:Approximately one-third of our students are in need of financial assistance, and this past school year more than $200,000 was distributed to families. As a diocesan high school, we are solely funded through tuition and donations as JCHS is not directly subsidized by parishes or the diocese.

UPGRADING THE LANDSCAPING IN THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL:It is time for the school to have a “facelift” and improve its curb appeal. Updating the landscaping and improving the main entrance of the school would create a fresh look that would serve as a welcoming impression.

STUDENT OUTREACH AND RECRUITMENT:In an effort to attract and retain quality students from the three-county area, funds are needed to market JCHS in parishes, feeder schools, and in the community. This would assist with strategic efforts for recruitment through an Enrollment Management Plan.

More than $205,000 was raised this school year through the campaign, including donations made through unrestricted gifts and:• Memorial funds• Gift matching corporations• Personalized scholarships for students• Wish list items

THESE FUNDS HELPED MAKE THE FOLLOWING DREAMS A REALITY: 1. Upgraded security measures 2. Renovated the 300 building 3. Purchased two school buses 4. Installed hydration stations

WHYTuition only covers approximately 80% of a JCHS education, and the school is blessed to have donors such as you to help provide the remaining needed funds. Additionally, JCHS donors can choose to make an unrestricted gift or specify where their gifts will be allocated.

DO WE GIVE? HOW
