A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Summer has officially arrived!! Everyone is looking forward to the break and we are deep into

planning for the September start of the new school year. I want to wish our graduating

seniors all the best as they move on with their education. I must say that this year’s

Graduation was the smoothest of the five graduations that I have been here for. The

graduates all did a wonderful job and it was a great day. Our newest alumni will be cherished

as they join the growing family of all Coleman alumni.

Please encourage any family or friends to think about Coleman for their children’s education.

Ask them to contact us for a tour or just to talk about what Coleman can offer. You and your

children are our best advertisement. We are very pleased with the Regents Exam results this

June. Our passing rate and exam scores far exceeded the state levels. It is a good testimonial

to the vigorous work of our teachers and the preparation of our students. Please share this

with anyone you can.

There will be some opportunities for summer service hours here at school. Please contact the

office and we will put you in touch with Mr. McCabe or others who will be doing projects here.

The process for our new digital sign continues and we have a tentative completion date for the

middle of August. Please look for it then.

As I have mentioned before, we will be hosting a Youth Retreat weekend September 15 – 17.

It will be run by Camp Veritas with their very capable and experienced staff. Registration will

be up soon on their website. I sincerely hope all our students take advantage of this

wonderful faith-filled opportunity. The weekend will culminate in a Sunday morning Mass said

by Cardinal Dolan. We expect a few hundred students from across the Diocese and will be

looking for some of our own volunteers to assist. More info will follow as the event gets closer.

Now begins the summer vacation. The summer office schedule is listed in this mailing. We

will be closed on Fridays. Rest up, recharge, and relax. Please continue to keep all in the

Coleman family and community in your prayers and ask God’s blessings on all.
