Jesus Talks about Friendship John 15:9-17 What do you think it would be like to have Jesus as a friend? What kinds of things do you think you would talk about? Would you go do things together? What do you think Jesus did with his friends? Do you think he was a good friend? Sometimes, Jesus liked to go visit his friends, Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. When he went to their house, he could just hang out and do what he wanted to do. Jesus had other good friends. Some of them were his disciples. They were the people who traveled around with Jesus, learning from him, and doing the things he taught them to do. One of the lessons Jesus taught his disciples was about love and friendship. He taught them: Jesus loves us just like God loves Jesus When we do the things Jesus taught us to do, we are living in his love When we understand all this, we will have true joy inside us The greatest love is so strong that, if we really love someone, we would give our whole selves, even our lives, to protect them. Do you think it is easy to love people as much as God loves Jesus? How can you do that in your life? This week, when you are with your friends, remember these words from Jesus. And think about these things: How can you live in Jesus's love? What can you do to show the greatest love to your family and friends? For a full friendship coloring page, click here.
