Hate Are you surprised?
John 15:17-25
Men and women were placed naked on a hot grill until they denied
their beliefs.
Men and women had their mouths filled with gun powder, while people
would light torches and walk toward them
Men and women were taken in caves, hung
upside down with a bag placed on their heads with starving rats placed inside that would eat their ears
and lips and eyes.
Men and women had their fingers chopped off 1 inch
at a time until they recanted the belief
Moms and Dads and their children being brought to a field of staring pigs. The
parents are tied to a tree and told to recant their beliefs
and if they don’t their children are thrown in one by one and are devoured before their eyes, while the children are screaming for help from
their parents
WORLD'S TOP 10 ANTI-CHRISTIAN REGIMES
1. North Korea 2. Iran 3. Saudi Arabia 4. Somalia 5. Maldives
6. Afghanistan 7. Yemen 8. Mauritania 9. Laos 10. Uzbekistan
In Indonesia, incidents of Christian persecution nearly
doubled in 2011, and an Islamic extremist group is threatening
to have five churches demolished because they don’t
have permits, according to Compass Direct News. In Ethiopia, a group of 500
Muslims burned down a church, also citing the church’s lack of a permit. The church had existed
there for 60 years on land owned by Christians.
In countries like Egypt, Iraq, Malaysia, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, Christians are
often viewed as second-class citizens. Persecution in these
countries is commonly manifested through the sexual
abuse of Christian women; forced conversions to Islam;
unjust enforcement of apostasy and blasphemy laws; the theft of Christians’ property and the plunder and burning of
their homes; and physical attacks and murder.
Despite the growth of Islamic extremism around the world, evangelicalism has surged in
an unlikely place — Afghanistan. As a country
with one of the lowest percentages of evangelicals,
with an estimated 500 to 8,000 Christians, Afghanistan now has the second fastest
growing evangelical population in the world,
according to Operation World and WORLD Magazine.
I. The preparation for the hate
(Joh 15:17) These things I command you, that ye love one another.
(Joh 15:21) But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent
me.
A. The marks that DEFINE us
as a Christian
(Joh 13:35) By this shall all men know
that ye are my disciples, if ye have
love one to another.
(Act 1:8) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both
in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost
part of the earth.
B. We prepare for the hate by DRAWING
closer together
(Rom 12:10) Be kindly affectioned one to another
with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
(Eph 4:2-3) With all lowliness and meekness, with
longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond
of peace.
(1Pe 3:8) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of
another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
(1Pe 4:8) And above all things have fervent charity among
yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
(Col 3:13) Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so
also do ye.
II. The purpose for the hate
(Joh 15:18-21) If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are
not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world
hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have
kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know
not him that sent me.

(Rom 1:28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave
them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not

III. The products of the hate
(Joh 15:22-25) If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for
their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among
them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now
have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled
that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
