The standard for believers – perfect peaceIsaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

II. Reality of Emotions

MotivatorsDecisions – the exercise of your willDecisions are made based on Intellect – knowledge (information) Feelings – emotions

Good decisions are based on good information and healthy emotionsGood information is more than sense knowledge, it is revelation of truthHealthy emotions God given emotions in control God healed emotions once damaged

III. Uncontrolled/Unhealed Emotions

Destroys faith – reacting impulsively rather than according to information receivedCorrupts decisions – emotions given too much weight and throws off balance for good decisionsDestroys relationships – hurts, jealousy, offenses, abuse
