I. The Purpose in Christ’s Suffering
Jesus’ suffering was substitutionaryIsaiah 53:3-5

Whipped so we could be healed
The standard for believers – perfect peaceIsaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
