Purpose: Students can understand the working principle of electric bell

Solenoid is circular-shaped coil conductor length. The magnetic field generated by the

solenoid will be greater than that posed by a circular conductor, let alone by a straight

conductor. If the solenoid electrified it will generate a magnetic field. Solenoid magnetic field

generated electricity flowing strongly dependent on electric currents and the number of coils.

The lines of magnetic force on the solenoid is a combination of lines of magnetic force of the

    coiled wire.

    1. Plug the cable to the battery

    2. plug one cable from the battery into the switch3. Wrap the wire on the nail4. Take the other cable connection from the the switch to the coil wire on a nail5. Plug other parts of the winding wire with zinc The bell beater and electrical junction

    and circuit breaker

    6. Fasten wire at the end of the The bell beater7. plug the cable on the other side bolts disconnect the battery to the electric current8. Patch The bell on board9. Patch circuit wiring on the board10. The bell is ready for use

    Experimental Procedure

Answer the following questions based on your practicum results

    1. How many windings which allows to make the lights on? Why is that?2. If you open the switch, whether the bell can serve? Why is that?

Battery Battery holder with connectors 3 coated wires with crocodile

    Things youll need

Place the battery in the battery holder. Point out to pupils the negative and positiveterminals of the battery and explain that direct current flows from the positive terminal to a

negative terminal in a complete circuit.

Connect one of the coated wires to the connector at the positive end of the battery and thenconnect the other end of the wire to the one of the connectors on the switch.

Put the switch in the "Off" position.Connect one of the coated wires to the other connector of the switch and connect the other

end of the wire to one of the connectors on the electric bell.

Complete the circuit by connecting the final wire to the other connector on the bell and tothe negative terminal of the battery.

Have the students experiment with removing wires from the circuit and observing when acircuit is complete and incomplete.

Continue the project by having the student build their own circuits with electric bells in series.connected together in a chain on a singly branched circuit, or in parallelconnected on individual branches of the main circuit.Have the student to observe the difference between the two types of connections.
