Nestu’a’tieg Digital Employability Program Facilitator (7 needed) Job Description Job Summary: This is a part-time contract position. Contract locations and opportunities will vary. The Nestuatieg program is an updated, customized Digital Literacy program that incorporates elements of Aboriginal Workplace Essential Skills. The successful candidates will complete a Train the Trainer program and facilitate three (3) pilot programs, designed to holistically address necessary skills training. Please note: The successful candidates must have a reliable vehicle and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Activities: The Program Facilitator will complete the following activities: Complete a 4-week Train the Trainer program, held in Fredericton Facilitate workshops of 10-15 people, ranging from 6 to 10 weeks, in various regions as scheduled Create lesson plans and exercises, maintain attendance learner files, and other documents Complete work in pairs to facilitate the pilot program and foster a positive learning environment Weekly reporting procedures (mileage, attendance, learner files, JEDI reports, etc) Complete reports regarding the program, including regular updates and final reports Participate in the evaluation process at the end of the program Qualifications: The ability to facilitate both individual and group learning The ability to use a variety of teaching/learning techniques The ability to work in a team is a must 2 years relevant work experience Experience facilitating training with adults,(training in the computer field at any level will be considered) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Applications Experience working with online databases Able to use photo editing software Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) in web design Current knowledge of digital lifestyles and current technical trends Asset Qualifications: A Bachelor of Education Degree or a Bachelor Degree in any discipline plus an Adult Education Certificate and Computer Training Certification such as IC3 or ICDL an asset.
