The RoleThis role is for the Team Leader of the Project Development team based in our Reading HQ. This teams primary functions are;
To proactively qualify and generate new business opportunities for the sales team via a variety of information sources.To maintain an accurate and detailed market intelligence of their respective regions / territories.To ensure the accurate capture and reporting of contacts, activities and related relevant information on Syteline CRM System.
This role promises to be hugely rewarding for the right candidate at a very exciting time for SAS.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day leadership of the Project Development team, incorporating training and development.
Managing and overseeing a pipeline of new opportunities for UK projects.
Setting, measuring & reporting of departmental Key Performance Indicators.
Maintaining a close and productive working relationship with the Sales teams.
Ensuring accurate and detailed information is recorded within the Syteline database for forecasting and project tracking purposes.
Ensuring the accuracy of weekly forecasts from Syteline data.
Providing monthly performance reports to the UK Divisional Director.
Issuing of weekly sales leads for UK and Export regions and reporting on the quality of leads issued and the leads process.
Management of the SAS Sample room, ensuring stock levels are maintained and the general area is kept to a good standard.
Managing relationships with suppliers, such as leads databases and couriers.
Producing ad-hoc research reports as required.

Successful Candidate ProfileProfessional Experience / Exposure
Experience within, or demonstrable understanding of, the building materials and / or construction industry.
Track record of working within, or closely interfacing with, a sales team in a related industry.
Experience of managing dynamic teams.
Understanding and experience of operating and reporting from within a CRM system.
Candidate Profile
Outgoing, confident and tenacious, with a high level of personal resilience.
An interest in construction, architecture and design.
Highly self-motivated self starter and confident communicator.
Ability to develop relationships at all levels.
