Our vision

● Create a way for people to access the internet from remote or undeveloped areas.

● Use cheap or free software and hardware.

● Easy for almost anyone to use.

• Provide operating systems to any kind of device.

• Provide Virtual machines to allow any operating system a wide array of devices.

• “Rugged” software to protect systems from users.

Components of our project.

● Primary server● “Proxmox” server● Wireless router● Low end computers

Page 5: JMJ Tech

What is a mesh?

● Also called a “ad-hoc” network

● Allows a internet to form without a “backbone”

● This technology is becoming more and more common.

Page 6: JMJ Tech

Why use a mesh

●Open source software.

●Useable with almost any hardware.

●As long as one node has internet they all do.

Page 7: JMJ Tech

Proxmox

●Proxmox is a easy to use virtual machine server.

●Allows most computers to use any kind of OS.

●Completely free

Page 8: JMJ Tech

Security

● The entire system had to be secured not only against Malware and malusers but also against users who simply do not know any better.

● Vms also have to be protected so users cannot “escape”

Page 9: JMJ Tech

Use-cases

● At a school to teach kids about different operating systems or programming

● Allows poor or isolated areas to access the internet or use public VMs or computers.

● Travel to different areas and bring computers and operating systems.
