CHILDREN’S SECTION INSTRUCTIONS / RULES GENERAL

PROTESTS & PROCEDURES

A protest or complaint against any exhibit or exhibitor may be lodged verbally with the Chief Steward of the relevant section no later than ten minutes after the judging of the exhibit. The Chief Steward must be provided with the exact nature of the complaint and act, if necessary, to maintain competitive fairness. The Chief Steward may choose to refer the matter to the Protests Committee, which shall comprise the President of the Society, or a Vice President and two other members of the General Committee. A protest or complaint or an appeal against the decision of a Chief Steward may be lodged in writing with the Secretary no later than 10 pm on the day of judging. Such protest, complaint or appeal shall be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be forfeited if the protest, complaint or appeal proves to be frivolous or vexatious. A matter lodged this way shall be dealt with by the Protests Committee within 24 hours of lodgement and the decision of the Protest Committee shall be final. NB: No protest or complaint will be considered if it refers simply to a judge's decision.

- No exhibitor or associate will initiate conversation with a judge on judging day, before, during or after judging.

- Any exhibitor or associate who behaves offensively on the Showground will be removed from the ground and may

be refused admission.

1 DELIVERY OF EXHIBITS: All entries submitted are to be delivered to the JJ Wright Pavilion on the Showground, Entries to be delivered to Showgrounds on Wednesday 1st November between 3pm -4.30 pm and Thursday 2nd November between 8.30 am- 10am. Please contact Showground Office if this does not suit to

arrange an alternative collection time.

2 COLLECTION OF EXHIBITS: Exhibits may be collected from the stewards on duty in the JJ Wright Pavilion on Sunday 5th November between 9am-11am. Exhibitors must have their entry receipt to collect their work from the Stewards. Please contact Showground Office if this does not suit to arrange an alternative collection time.

3 FREE ENTRY –All the School Section from P.S.A. to Year 12 is FREE

4 PRIZE MONEY: Will be given on collection and must be signed for.

5 The entry tickets must be attached to the exhibits before delivery to the showground with the name, school and section on back only. No names to be visible on front of work.

6 Entries delivered in bulk by schools must be collected the same by school representative.

7 Hanging items must have a piece of string attached or something with which to hang them.

8 All school work can be done using Felt, Pen, Oils, Pencils, glitter, natural materials, etc.

9. NO SCHOOL ENTRY TO BE LARGER THAN A3.

10 . Please do not make any changes whatsoever to entry tickets or entry forms once they have been recorded by the secretary. This includes changing numbers or names on tickets or forms.

11. Entries close 20th October 4pm. No late or faxed entries will be accepted
