Abstract

This research describes the design and development of a glassbreak detection system using

microcontroller. The system consistsof amicrophone, an amplifier, a high passfilter, a microcontroller,

and a SIM900module. The microcontroller gets signals from the amplifier and the high pass filter to

calculate an energy ratio. If the ratio is in a predefined range, the glass break is detected and the

microcontroller will enable a SIM900module to send SMSto a mobile phone.
