Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Washington DC Fa Conference

Good morning! (Audience responds: Good morning, Master!)Time is flying by, and in the blink of an eye another year has passed. In the time thats passed

since I attended the DC a Conference last year, Dafa disciples hae changed a great deal, and sohas the oerall state of a"rectification. #nd Dafa disciples hae done really $ell $ith the things

that Dafa disciples sho%ld do as they alidate the a. &hen yo% look at ho$ theye been going,

it might be getting clearer and clearer to yo% that a bright f%t%re lies ahead. (Applause)

In the not"too"distant f%t%re, the persec%tion and this form of c%ltiation that Dafa discipleshae $ill dra$ to an end. (Applause) This first"of"its"kind form of c%ltiation $here Dafa

disciples are part of a"rectification $hile the cosmos %ndergoes a"rectification, along $ith the

mighty"irt%e e'hibited by the Dafa disciples, and the magnificent feats that astonish the entirecosmos, theyll all come to an end ery soon. (Applause)

o looking at the c%rrent sit%ation, since yo% hae been clearing o%t the eil $ith righteo%stho%ghts and righteo%s actions $hile alidating the a, at this point the n%mber of eil lies isminisc%le and they are merely trying to hide. o$eer, in order to keep %p this enironment of

so"called *tests+ by eil, the dark minions that are in the Three ealms and that the old forces

arranged in the past, as $ell as some gods $ho are playing negatie roles-it is they$ho aredirectly doing those bad things. In other $ords, the factors left by the system of the old forces are

still haing negatie effects. Then those lies $ont be able to pay for the interference theye

ca%sed a"rectification or the hand theye had in harming a"rectification, and so all of them

$ill be $eeded o%t d%ring the a"rectification, for s%re. o theyre part of the bad lies yo% cleara$ay $hen yo% send righteo%s tho%ghts. #ct%ally, there arent many of those lies left. #t this

point only abo%t fie percent of the original dark minions are left, and ery fe$ of the gods $ho

hae played a negatie role in a"rectification still remain. %t they are still playing a $ickedrole $ithin the mechanisms arranged in the past by the old forces. o in alidating the a, no

matter $hat the sit%ation is, none of yo% sho%ld let do$n yo%r g%ard, and $hen it comes to $hat

a Dafa disciple sho%ld do, yo% sho%ld keep giing yo%r best. /specially $hen its to$ard the end,for some st%dents theres really not m%ch time left, and thats do%bly"so for those $ho haent

done $ell-yo% sho%ld sei0e the day and do $ell.

/ery time I talk abo%t the state of a"rectification, I al$ays need to add this1 This is ho$

Dafa disciples c%ltiate, and nobody sho%ld go to e'tremes. Carry on $ith $hat yo% $o%ldnormally do. &hateer yo% $o%ld do, yo% sho%ld still 2%st go abo%t it as %s%al. Thats beca%se

yo%r eery tho%ght and $him, and each and eery action, are affecting ma2or things. 3o matter

$hat big things are happening, pretend nothing is going on and 2%st go abo%t, as %s%al, doing

$hat a Dafa disciple sho%ld do. This is the path yo%re taking today, and this is the 4legacy of5mighty irt%e yo% are leaing. The path yo%, the Dafa disciples, take, is ho$ yo% hae to

c%ltiate as dictated by o%r c%ltiation $ay, and it absol%tely cannot change $ith shifts in theordinary $orld.

6ooking at the things yo%e been doing in c%ltiating and alidating the a as Dafa

disciples, yo% still hae lots of shortcomings, and yo% sho%ld abandon all the things yo%reattached to. &hen I bring %p attachments, yo% $ont %nderstand it in an e'treme $ay like yo%

$o%ld hae before. This path that yo%re taking and the $ay yo% c%ltiate are not attachments.

8o%r o$n notions and the crooked tho%ghts that yo%re still holding on to among h%man beings

as yo% alidate the a, those are $hat yo% sho%ld abandon. #s for this c%ltiation $ay of yo%rs

thats here in ordinary society-the fact that yo% $ork and lead a normal life among the masses$hile doing c%ltiation-thats not something Ie eer told yo% to abandon, for it is something

determined by yo%r c%ltiation $ay.

9er the past fe$ years of persec%tion yo% hae displayed the mighty"irt%e of Dafadisciples, b%t along the $ay, lots and lots of shortcomings hae come to light. 8et in the process

of alidating the a, the ast ma2ority of Dafa disciples hae remoed those shortcomings $hile

c%ltiating and alidating the a, and thats remarkable. 9rdinary people arent able to let go ofh%man things. %t c%ltiation, yo% kno$, thats different from being ordinary. The ordinary man

lies 2%st to p%rs%e things that ordinary people $ant. Dafa disciples arent attached to those

things. 8o% hae clear c%ltiation goals, and yo% kno$ $hat yo% are doing. &hile yo% alidate

the a, plenty of the things yo% do seem identical to $hat ordinary people do, and thats $hy afe$ people say $e seem to be getting political, or that $ere organi0ing some sort of social

moement. &ell, thats ho$ h%man beings are. D%ring this period of time, theres definitely not

going to be millions of gods doing diine things in the h%man $orld, and Dafa disciples

definitely $ont be %sing their godly sides to do large"scale diine things, $ith f%ll"blo$n diinemeans, in front of the masses of people in the ordinary $orld. Dafa disciples are %tili0ing

ordinary peoples means to alidate the a. They haent gotten inoled in ordinary peoples*politics.+ Theres nothing $rong $ith %tili0ing some forms from ordinary people that are %sef%l

to alidate the a.

aing made it to this point today, Dafa disciples sho%ld be een more clearheaded no$.Dafa disciples arent some ordinary"people politicians-yo% hae lots of ordinary"people

abilities, b%t yo%re not trying to gain anything of ordinary people. # Dafa disciples c%ltiation

is for the p%rpose of achieing Cons%mmation in the co%rse of alidating the a. %t as Dafa

disciples, yo% are also saing all beings, yo%re allo$ing more lies to be saed and resc%edd%ring the a"rectification.

In the past I often said that none of the people in todays h%man society hae simple

4backgro%nds5. 9er the co%rse of history, gods of different periods created people of differentperiods, and the appearances of different races are act%ally the images of different gods. &hat

they created $as mankinds physi:%e in the Three ealms, $hich is kno$n as *s%rface"leel

h%man skin.+ &hen $e got to today, and especially $hen I $ent p%blic $ith the a, a m%ltit%deof gods came do$n and incarnated as h%mans. &hats in many ordinary peoples bodies are no

longer the so%ls (yuanshen) from $hen gods created man, beca%se at that time mans so%l $as

created o%t of matter from $ithin the Three ealms, $hereas no$ many peoples so%ls came

from high leels. #nd $hy did they come; #s Ie told yo% before, nothing in this $orld, in fact,is by chance. /ery being and eery ob2ect came for Dafa, $as formed for Dafa and created for

Dafa, and that incl%des all people. #ll of $hat has transpired in the Three ealmss history $as

created for Dafa. &hether it be all the gods in history $ho came do$n to sae people, all theheroic fig%res $ho emerged in each nation, or all the different c%lt%res that arose in history, they

all came abo%t for Dafas final manifestation among mankind today. #nd for that p%rpose the

c%lt%re for %nderstanding Dafa $as established among h%man beings, and the characteristics ofdifferent c%lt%res $ere created, as $ere the $ays of different c%lt%res.

by this a, to %nderstand that they sho%ld c%ltiate, and to become Dafa disciples, and allo$ the

masses of beings to be saed d%ring the a"rectification. #ll of this $as being shaped thro%gho%t

the co%rse of history for this final moment of the cosmos. In fact, $hen the many, many Great/nlightened eings in history, s%ch as hakyam%ni, 6ao0i, and >es%s, $ere saing people,

imparting the &ay, doing good $orks, and s%ffering on mans behalf, I can tell yo%, their tr%e

p%rpose $as to establish a c%lt%re for the a"rectification.The long history of the cosmos made complete preparations for this a"rectification, and the

Three ealms $as made and created for, and has gro$n and progressed for, the a"rectification.

o all of the lies in that historical process hae e'isted and come abo%t for the a"rectification.In other $ords, d%ring the long, dra$n"o%t co%rse of history, no matter ho$ many lies hae

emerged or ho$ many there still are in the $orld today, they all came for, and $ere all born and

created for, this a. #nd this een incl%des those lies $ho $ere arranged by the old forces and

hae a negatie effect. ack then the old forces arranged for them to hae a negatie effect sothat they co%ld Cons%mmate. Thats beca%se the old forces tho%ght, based on their notions, that

those $ho play a negatie role make it possible for those $ho play a positie role to

Cons%mmate. If this $ere 2%st abo%t c%ltiation in a normal time period, then yo% co%ldnt say, at

least in a certain realm, that their logic $as off. %t $hen a"rectification of enormo%sfirmaments is taking place, then it interferes $ith a"rectification and its $rong, and it has

ca%sed seere disr%ption. #ll of $hat has played o%t has been the eil trying to steer a"rectification and the f%t%re. #nd thats $hat makes the sin of the old forces against a"

rectification the greatest of sins.

%t despite that, all lies came for this a, so they sho%ld assimilate to and harmoni0e $iththe a positiely, and they cant impose things on the a or on the f%t%re. There aremany lies

$ho $ere s%pposed to hae a negatie effect in this process as the old forces arranged it. %t

they haent, $hich means they can still be saed. &hen yo% clarify the tr%th, and $hen Dafa

disciples are doing the things theyre s%pposed to be doing, let me tell yo%, a big part of that isyo% saing them.

#s yo%e seen, yo%r ?aster hasnt said anything to ordinary people of late, and I dont do

anything in person to sae ordinary people anymore, and een $hen it comes to the things Dafadisciples do I seldom get inoled. ?aybe yo%re clear on $hy that is1 I $ant to leae for yo% the

opport%nity to establish mighty"irt%e. If I led yo% in doing something today, then that thing

$o%ldnt hae been done by yo%, and so yo% $o%ld hae lost the chance to establish mighty"irt%e. ?ean$hile, as a Dafa disciple and a magnificent f%t%re /nlightened eing, $hen saing

beings yo% sho%ld f%lly sho$ yo%r magnificence, yo%r compassion, and yo%r grande%r. Thats

$hy I $ant to gie yo% plenty of chances to sae the $orlds people, to sae all beings, and let

yo% do those things that yo% are s%pposed to do. #ct%ally, in the f%t%re yo% $ill see that $hetherit $as >es%s, hakyam%ni, or other Great /nlightened eings in history, theres no difference

bet$een $hat they did and $hat yo%re doing today. Its only a difference in form. o yo% hae

to be clear abo%t this, and yo% hae to do $ell $ith $hat yo%re s%pposed to do.Its Dafa-s%ch an immense 6a$-and a"rectification-s%ch a ma2or eent. That alone lifts

yo% to a lofty place. #nd $hats more, eerything that yo% do in a"rectification is for s%re the

most magnificent, beca%se een history $as created for it. o yo% sho%ld try yo%r best to do $ellthe things that a Dafa disciple sho%ld do, and eery single thing is of %tmost importance. Ie

asked yo% to do the three things $ell. 8o% m%st do the three things $ell. 8o% sho%ld do those

things $ell all the $ay %p to yo%r Cons%mmation. 8o%r mighty"irt%e and eerything of yo%r

f%t%re come from those things.

#s for some shortcomings that still e'ist, yo% sho%ld in fact be able to see them $ith greater

clarity. # lot of times I notice that $hen yo%re disc%ssing certain things yo% still hae the

problem of yo%r h%man side being attached, and yo% arg%e abo%t things that yo% cant get oer,$hich then affects the disc%ssion yo%re haing of the main a"alidating things. Ie seen that

those are attachments $hich formed among ordinary people, and are notions that yo% cant let

go, and its things that $ere formed among ordinary people $hich flare %p as soon as theyre hit%pon. %t yo% cant be like that. &hateer it is yo% do for Dafa, yo% sho%ldnt do it $ith yo%r

o$n notions. I say this :%ite often, b%t some people ro%tinely dont bother to think abo%t it or

dont gie it eno%gh attention.There are still plenty of things that yo% haent handled $ell, b%t in fact, at this point I dont

$ant to talk abo%t them anymore, beca%se $heneer I spell something o%t, the part that you

c%ltiate disappears. aing gone thro%gh the 4persec%tion5 ordeal, Dafa disciples sho%ld be

more clearheaded and rational, and they sho%ld be een clearer on ho$ to c%ltiate and ho$ toact. &ith a lot of problems, if yo% calmly think things thro%gh, yo% can recogni0e them on yo%r

o$n. #nd once yo%e reali0ed $hat they are, yo% sho%ld correct them and not let them happen

again.

I didnt $ant to say m%ch today. This time I planned to talk abo%t some things $ith a fe$specific st%dents, b%t a lot of st%dents didnt get to see ?aster at some a conferences and $ere a

bit disappointed. I think that $ith the a here, yo% sho%ld be all set c%ltiating. #nd that alsoholds for the st%dents in ?ainland China. In an enironment that trying, and $itho%t getting to

see ?aster in person, theye still c%ltiated ery $ell and hae done an e'cellent 2ob. &hen yo%

see me, yo%re 2%st seeing this side of me that manifests as an ordinary h%man being. ( Teacher

laughs) &hether yo% can see me or not, I hope that it $ont affect yo% in terms of doing $ell the

things that Dafa disciples sho%ld do, and yo% sho%ld do een better. In fact, $hen yo% really

arent able to see me and still manage to do better, then thats een more remarkable.

#ct%ally, I like to see yo%, too. 8o% kno$, in this social $orld of ordinary people, the peopleyo% come into contact $ith, yo% kno$, theyre all ordinary. #ll those ordinary h%man tho%ghts

and behaiors that people hae are hard for me to take. I en2oy being $ith yo%, beca%se yo% are

:%ite far from the realm of ordinary people no$. %t for the sake of yo%r Cons%mmation, itsbest I dont see yo% too often. (Teacher laughs) Thats $hy I haent met $ith yo% often. In

short, I $ant to leae yo% $ith the opport%nity to establish mighty"irt%e.
