Prophecies To The UNIn a speech at the UN

General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted many prophetic pas-sages in his address to the UN delegates. Many media people made comment on the usage of Scripture by a world leader at the UN.

Broadcast partner David Dolan noted that it is re-markable that a world leader today can quote an ancient text from thousands of years ago about his spe-cific people group, and those words have any rele-vance today. But not only did those words allude to his people, the Scripture prophesied of the Jews be-ing scattered, and then re-turning to their land - which is exactly what has hap-pened. "He was just accu-rately quoting the Bible," Dolan explained.

Thousands Gather For Priestly BlessingThe annual priestly bless-

ing chanted by thousands of kohanim, the male descen-dants of the brother of Moses, Aaron the Levite who was the first high priest, these chants went forth from the ancient West-ern Wall in Jerusalem.

The participants, members of the priestly class of Jews, echoed Israel's chief rabbis in blessing the Jewish peo-ple both in Jerusalem, the nation of Israel and actually Jews around the world. The recent blessing at the West-ern Wall was viewed by millions of Jews around the world via web cameras in-stalled at the Plaza.

International Support For Syrian Rebels Is FadingLONDON - World leaders have wavered in their suppor of the Syrian rebels, and now more so than ever because of the infighting going on in the opposition. Prophecy Today broadcast partner, Ken Tim-merman out of Washington, D.C. said that Great Britain has made a decision not to support the rebels in Syria and others may well be falling in line with that decision as well.

Timmerman said that leaders are waking up to the reality of the rebels. That they are now split into multiple warring fac-tions. "The Islamists murdered two of the leaders of the Free Syrian Army and have threat-ened to do a lot more and this is going to be frankly an open war inside the rebel camp at the same time that Assad, the Syrian President, and his allies Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia

have solidified their alliance," he explained.

The opposition is frag-mented while the Syrian gov-ernment is united. "In that con-text," Timmerman continued, "Britain is taking a second look at their earlier desire to arm the rebels and they are beginning to wonder that now just might not be the time. They are afraid that the weapons will fall into the hands of the Islamists.

We know that the Arabs are very anxious about this because they have created a parallel universe in an attempt to create or invent for them-selves an identity which has nothing to do with the reality.

WHO Claims Half Of Abortions Unsafe For MothersGENEVA - A recent report by the World Health Organization says that abortions worldwide are putting women's health at risk. The report indicates that one half of all abortions are unsafe, even dangerous, to the women involved, and abortion is one of the main reasons for maternal death worldwide.

This data reveals that women who wish to terminate unwanted pregnancies will seek abortion at any cost and thus these women will continue to die in significant numbers.

WHO, World Health Or-ganization, in a recent report, revealed the increase in mater-nal deaths, a result of unsafe

abortions. They say now 50% of all worldwide abortions are unsafe and a major cause for these maternal deaths. This number goes as high as 95% in Latin American countries and 97% in Africa. Of course, 100% of the time the procedure is dangerous for the unborn children involved.

Muslims Deny Israel’s Claim To The Temple MountJERUSALEM - Sheikh Yousef Salami is a Muslim preacher at Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. He has said that “Al Quds” (the Arabic name for Jerusalem), is an Is-lamic holy site as determined by the Creator of the world and as indicated in the Koran and shall belong to Muslims forever.

The sheikh's statement was in response to a ruling by Is-rael's attorney general, that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is part of Israeli territory and Is-raeli law applies to this holy site. Muslim scholar, Abdul Rahman Abbad, said “Muslims are the only ones who own this mosque.”

The Temple Mount was left in the hands of an Islamic Trust by the Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan at the time of the reunification of Jerusalem dur-ing the Six Day War in 1967 and the Muslims have since then tried to remove every evi-dence of any Jewish presence at this Jewish holy site.

Prophecy is PracticalBut thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,

though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,

yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;

whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

- Micah 5:2 (For further study: Micah 5:1-4)

This is a familiar passage, particularly around this time of year. Micah 5:2 gives the prophecy of

the actual town where the Messiah would be born, the "little town of Bethlehem".

The Christmas Story is a prime example that the person and the place are key to the validity of

the account of what happened and it’s accuracy in the record of the first coming of Jesus Christ.

Both must be correct in order for this event to be the fulfillment of the many prophecies that

foretold of the coming of the Messiah, the Son of God.

There are two towns in Israel that are called Bethlehem, and one of them is much closer to the

community where Mary and Joseph lived than Bethlehem Ephratah where Jesus was born. The

other Bethlehem is in the area of the land that was given to Zebulon and is not far from Naz-

areth. It would have been much easier for Mary, who was heavy with child to travel the few miles

from her home to the northern Bethlehem than to the one some ninety miles from Nazareth,

near Jerusalem.

In fact, had Jesus been born on the way in any number of little towns, Jericho, Bethany or even

Jerusalem, He would not have been the one spoken of by the ancient Jewish prophets. In order

for Jesus to be the true Messiah He had to fulfill all Bible prophecy in absolute detail.

Before we leave the Christmas Story that is prophesied in the book of Micah let’s take a look

at Micah 4:8. This verse mentions that the Messiah will come to a place called, in the Hebrew,

Migdal Edar, which in English is "tower of the flock".

This phrase is mentioned only one other time in the scriptures and that is in Genesis 35:21 when it

refers to the location Jacob, Israel, traveled to and pitched his tent af

ter he had buried his wife

Rachel. The location is on the road from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, which is just about four miles

between the two.

Migdal Edar, the tower of the flock, refers to a two story stone structure that serves as the

watchtower for the shepherds overseeing their sheep in the shepherds fields at

Bethlehem. In

the top story the chief shepherd looks out across the fields to make sure nothing is bothering

his sheep.

The sheep in the Shepherds Fields are the ones that are taken to the Temple to be used in the

sacrificial activities called for in the scriptures. By the way, they use the bottom floor of Migdal

Edar to birth the new-born lambs.

When these lambs are born they are wrapped in swaddling clothes and then laid in a manger until

it has calmed down so this lamb won’t be marred and not able to be sacrificed at the Temple.

This is what the angel told those shepherds that night when Jesus was born, Luke 2:12, and Luke

2:16 said they went with haste to the birthplace of Jesus the Messiah. The person is important,

but also the place is an absolute as well in order for prophecy to be fulf

illed.

I remind you that precisely fulfilled Bible prophecy, gives us the assurance that all of

God's prophecies will be fulfilled in absolute detail as well. So let's keep looking up...

EU’s Melting Pot Theory Not Working With MuslimsPARIS - A recent report says that Islam in France is destroy-ing the nation of France. This recent report says that Islam is increasing in influence and power in the European conti-nent.

Dr. Rob Congdon, an expert on the geo-political status of the European Union, reports that there is a growing move-ment throughout Europe that is teaching that bringing in many

cultures from around the world and uniting them together will make the world better. The idea is that as people live together and blend, they will understand one another and unify. How-ever, Congdon explains, "What has happened is as Islam has come in, they have come in in massive numbers particularly in France."

Dr. Congdon reports that the Muslims coming up from Af-

rica, are not blending or melt-ing, as the theory suggested, but rather they seem to be try-ing to take over the culture. Throughout the continent, sup-port is growing for migration limitation into the European Union, particularly from Mus-lim nations. The people of Europe are seeing that what they have been taught about bringing everyone together is not working.

“The Jewish People Will Never Be Uprooted Again.”NEW YORK - Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu opened and closed his recent speech at the UN General Assembly quoting from the Bible. The PM actually was addressing the threat that the Iranian nuclear weapons of mass destruction program is to Israel and in fact to the entire world.

Netanyahu rejected the charm offensive of Iranian President Rouhani and said Rouhani was the architect of the present nuclear program in Iran plus in addition to that, as chief of the Iranian Security Council was responsible for all the terrorist attacks that Iran has perpetrated upon the entire

world. The PM also reported that a look at Rouhani's record indicates that his actions do not match up with his rhetoric which means trouble for the Jewish state of Israel.

He spoke of the Persian King Cyrus who 2,500 years ago was responsible for bring-ing the Jewish people out of the Babylonian captivity and then allowing them to return to Jerusalem to rebuild their Tem-ple, that's found in Ezra 2. Ne-tanyahu also spoke of the prophecies in Ezekiel that re-late to the Jews returning to the land of their forefathers, that can be found in Ezekiel 36 where 35 times it refers to the

land and in fact the Lord tells Ezekiel to preach to the land and tell the land that it will receive the Jewish people who will prosper when they come back into the land.

Netanyahu referred also to Ezekiel 37 which indicates that the Jewish people would be gathered from the four corners of the earth, they would be restored as a Jewish state among the states of this world.

In conclusion, the Israeli Prime Minister closed his speech to the General Assem-bly with the following state-ment, "The Jewish people have come home never to be up-rooted again."

The Apocalyptic Policy Of Iran’s True LeadershipTEHRAN - Iran has elected a new president, Hasan Rowhani, who some say is somewhat of a moderate, however the true power in the government of Iran lies in the Supreme Coun-cil made up of the ayatollahs and Ayatollah Khomenei is the leader of the Iranian state, and I must tell you that the Supreme Council has an apocalyptic policy by which they govern the country of Iran. Ken Tim-merman explains.

Timmerman: Shiite eschatol-ogy [the study of the End Times] as practiced by the Ira-nian regime, which by the way is not the same as all Shiites, believes that they can trigger the return of Imam Mahdi, this mystical twelfth Imam who has been hiding at the bottom of a well since AD 941 and when he returns he will lead a victo-rious Muslim army to Jerusa-lem and conquer the world for Islam.

Now, they believe through their actions they can hasten the return of the Imam Mahdi. Ahmadinejad has said that, so has Hamenei and so has many of the top clerics in the country. They way they do that Jimmy is by triggering mass destruc-tion around the world, now that can be with a nuclear weapon, violence in various countries, revolutions or what have you. They believe their actions can actually bring this about.

Despite the Israeli Govern-ment stating its claim that the Temple Mount belongs to the Jewish people, there are still many who claim otherwise. It is hard to imagine a nation having to constantly remind people that the land within its borders is their sovereign property. But one must view this in light of Bible prophecy.

This controversy today is part of the scenario that was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah in Zechariah 12:2. God promised Jewish King David this holy site for a temple that one day will stand on the Temple Mount forever, II Samuel 7. Jesus said He would come back to Jerusalem and build that temple one day, Zechariah 1:16. The Temple Mount is the holy mountain of God according to Daniel 9:16, 20; a place where the Lord said He would dwell among His people, the Jewish people, for-ever, Psalm 132:13-14.

God will keep His Word to the Jewish people, as He will to everyone. This includes His promise to call the Church to be with Christ forever. The Rapture could happen today. Keep looking up...

Antisemitic Rhetoric Will Intensify In The FutureThe radical Islamist Muslim cleric Salah Sultan has crossed a line in his call for the

murdering of Jews so that people can quench their thirst for Jewish blood. This seems to be the epitome of hatred for the Jewish people by an element of radical Islam. The fact that Hamas television would air such a horrific statement by anyone is beyond the pale as well. However, it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Down through history, there has been a conflict between the Jews and the Egyptians. Four thousand years ago, the family of Jacob which became the nation of Israel, was under Egyptian bondage for 400 years, a fulfillment of the prophecy in Genesis 15. In recent his-tory, the Jewish state has been involved in at least three wars with Egypt in 1948, 1967, and 1973. As it relates to the future, Egypt will join a coalition of nations that will move to destroy the Jewish state, Daniel 11:40-43 where Egypt is referred to as the King of the North. Other Jewish prophets foretell of a future Israeli-Egyptian conflict as well like Jeremiah and Ezekiel.

Whoever Wins The War, Syria’s Future Is CertainIt does not matter whether the Syrian rebels or the Assad government wins in the Syrian

civil war, either way, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.Because of the infighting among the Syrian rebels, the Assad government seems to be

winning the civil war in Syria. Bible prophecy reveals that either side can win and the prophecy of the ancient Jewish prophet Daniel will be fulfilled. Syria will attack the Jewish state as the first of many nations align themselves against the Jewish state of Israel to de-stroy this state, Daniel 11:40 where Syria is referred to as the King of the North. The other nations will come along and join Syria in their efforts to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, Daniel 11:40-43, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83.

The Bible Is Historically And Prophetically AccurateThe Jewish people created in the land of Israel speaks to the history but also the future of

the Jewish state according to Bible prophecy.The Israeli community of Shiloh located in Judea and Samaria dates back 3500 years to

the time of the Tabernacle which was in Shiloh and housed the Ark of the Covenant, Joshua 18 and I Samuel 4. Shiloh is today a Jewish settlement which is indeed evidence of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 36 which is the promise of God to give the Jewish people their land in the last days.

This archaeological find of the location of the Tabernacle 3,500 years ago gives confir-mation to Biblical history, but it also sets the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Spread Of Islam Throughout Europe Is GrowingIslam plays a major role in our world today which is setting the stage for Bible prophecy

to be fulfilled. Islam is a major factor throughout the entire Middle East, but also in many nations in Europe. European leaders are working to get control of the situation which seems to be worsening day by day. The ancient Jewish prophets never mentioned the word Islam however they did reveal an end of times scenario that would factor in many nations in the Middle East and Europe that have one thing in common, they are Islamic. For exam-ple in the book of Daniel chapter 11 verses 40-43 you'll read about the King of the North, modern day Syria and the King of the South, Egypt. In Psalm 83, the Psalmist mentions a number of nations that will align themselves to destroy the Jewish state of Israel, nations like Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian people.

In Ezekiel 38, the ancient Jewish prophet mentions Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and the nation of Libya. The lowest common denominator among these nations is that all of them are of the Islamic faith. Now with the spread of Is-lam across Europe and its growing influence in these European nations, you can see how the prophetic scenario found in the Bible of the alignment of the nations moving to destroy the Jewish state of Israel is coming more into focus.
