concurrently working with his own group, the Hurricanes, which later changed its name to BlueTrain Running. In the early 90s Lane took his group to Europe, playing on television in the UK.He also recorded with his father’s band, proving to be as comfortable as sideman as he is asleader. Although leaning strongly towards contemporary rock, Lane’s love for the blues gleamsthrough his work. The musicians with whom Lane has worked and sometimes recorded reflectthis dual musical heritage: his father, Eric Clapton, David ‘Honeyboy’ Edwards, Lowell Fulson,Mick Jagger, B.B. King, Sam Lay, Taj Mahal, Van Morrison, Jimmie Lee Robinson, DoubleTrouble and Hubert Sumlin. ---Rovi
