Th ank You! to all those who donat-ed gift s: Becky Eagan, Mike Weaver, Rebecca Land, Mitch, Larry and Vicki Eberle, Mike Casillas, Stacy DeMas, David and Cathy Boley, Tammi Mar-tin, Sandy Hogue, Ron and Jeanette North, Moe and Pat Hogan.

We raised $230 in the September raffl e which was matched by an anonymous benefactor (Th ank You!) at $115 for a total of $345. Th e donation was split between the Little Light House $200.00 (Th e mission of the Little Light House is to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families, and their communities.) and the Becky Kidd Bixby Public Schools ($145.00 Funds for Projects)

Again, last month’s raffl e was a “Hoot!”. I think everyone won something.

But Larry Eberle was the big winner! He won a really cool Pirate Alarm Clock! Don’t think we’ll be seeing that one re-gift ed.

Please bring canned food items to the November meeting. We will be donating to

the American Legion Post 1’s food bank- ALSO -

You can bring a dessert item to donate to their Veterans Day Free Luncheon which they will

be holding Wednesday, 11th at noon. Bridenstein will be speaking at 12:30

We have an opportunity to volunteer for Emergency Infant Services on Saturday, November 21st, from 9am–noon. Emer-gency Infant Services is a non-denomination-al, non-profi t organization which assists over 1416 infants and toddlers each month. Fund-ed through the generosity of the community, staff and volunteers work together to make sure that infants and toddlers have the essen-tials they need. We have no waiting periods or income qualifi ers, operating on the theory that a hungry child cannot wait.

Saturday Workday is where volunteers help with larger projects as well as organizing donations, supplies and diapers. We will be helping EIS organize so they are ready to help those families in need. If we could at least get around 10 people, that would be great.

As always, the more the merrier!

You didn’t miss it did you?! Th e Rick Lamb House Con-cert at Jodie and Rick’s house. Sure, it was panned to be a patio concert to take place in Jodie and Rick’s back yard but, as we all know, Oklahoma weather rarely cooperates with the best laid plans. Fortunately there was plenty of room indoors.

Th ere was plenty to eat as well from BBQ to Jodie’s de-licious Pickle Dip and side dishes galore AND the beer was free as we

fi nished off the last of the golf tournament beer.

Out on the patio Rick had the fi re roaring in his fi re pit, the band was set up in the living room with plenty of seating and Jodie had ‘the game’ playing silently in the background which turned out to be the only low point of the evening.

All the invitations to the House Concert noted that ‘costumes were optional’ - well most everyone opted for

a costume. We had Olive Oyl

and Popeye as our hosts, a couple of Vampires, a gypsy/wench, doctor, nurse, Mari-lyn and the list goes on.

Rick Lamb and his partner Rob Davis did a wonder-ful job of entertaining us all starting at around 7pm

playing a mixture of Trop Rock to rock classics, plenty of Buff ett and a few ballads thrown in for good mea-sure. Th ey were great, and surprisingly very tolerant of our rowdy little group. Th roughout the evening they pretty much played their way through their whole song catalog then started taking requests from the audience. And the audience wasn’t let down

either. Someone in the crowd would shout a request and Rick and Rob would play it without hesitation. Th is went on until close to one o’clock in the morning. It was hard to tell who was having more fun the audience or Rick and Rob.

Again it proves just how well the Tulsa Parrot Heads can turn a rain-out into an incredibly memorable event.

Th ank you so much Jodie and Rick for opening your home to the Parrot Heads. And Th ank You Rick Lamb and Rob Davis for a wonderfully entertaining evening. Let’s do it again soon!

Hey Folks!!That is to say the box that holds

the names of charities we donate to is running low. Names/charities are drawn from the box regularly for our monthly raffl e and other fundraising event we hold.

So, if you know of a worthy cause or charity please submit it to the dona-tion box. It can be a charity you’ve submitted before because surly our one donation didn’t take care of all their needs.

We just want to help. Thanks!

Our Donation Box is nearly empty.
