The installation of the buzz system is still in progress. Notification of its completion will be communicated along with information of any process changes for student and visitor check-ins. As for REFRESH, we’re rolling! Students have had the ability to access teachers for both academic and enrichment opportunities in a much more structured manner via FlexTime Manager. Best part of being a Rampant (What made your experience at Rose memorable?): One of the best parts of being a Rampant was the people. Rose is a fantastic place, and soon all the exciting events will just be memories. Share a memorable or unique experience you’ve had since graduating from Rose. My experience that influenced much of where I am today was receiving the National Scholars Program (NSP) scholarship from Clemson University. NSP gave me wonderful friends, unique educational opportunities, and the support to pursue my passion for science. Academic Boosters

Fall Grant Spotlight: Mr. Daniel Niece

Academic Booster donor dollars funded the innovative Boss Laser grant

this fall. The requested laser will provide the opportunity to gain skills in

3D rendering, manufacturing, and marketing. (This will also help us offer

a class next year titled: “Art through 3-D Technology”. The course

description explains that “Students will explore and demonstrate mastery

of the operational capabilities of 3-D equipment such as printing, CNC

routing, laser cutting, and other technologies as available. Students will

also be responsible for establishing and maintaining an entrepreneurial enterprise in the 3D Design industry.

Students will explore the potential and limitations of 3D Printing, CNC design/functions, and Laser Cutting design/

functions through build intensive design projects.”

We hope to take the principles/skills used in the Technology Design & Innovation Class (EB Aycock) . . . to the next

level. The laser and this class will provide the opportunity for students to gain REAL WORLD SKILLS (helps to get a

job;) . . .
