Chaplaincy Outreach Nursing homes visits were made to 642 residents with outreach to 65 different facilities. Twenty parachaplain volunteers donated 460 hours through friendly visits and/or assistance with observance of Jewish holidays.
Child Abuse Prevention Program 1,197 presentations were made to 26,942 children, parents and teachers introducing personal safety skills and prevention information focused on keeping children safe from sexual abuse and exploitation.
Clinical Services (Including FMHC and BISC) Families received 4,826 counseling sessions, representing 19,472 people, addressing issues focused on: abuse, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, mental and physical illness, marital conflict/divorce, bereavement, parent-child relationships, school behavior and social skills.
School Based Social Work Services 2,104 hours of consultation, mental health-focused educational groups, crisis intervention and brief counseling services were provided to children, families and educational staff in the Jewish Day Schools, public schools, congregational pre-schools, camps and at the Jewish Community Center. 281 (unduplicated) children were served.
ElderLink St. Louis Information and referral services were provided to 1,733 older adults and their family members through telephone calls and website visits. 760 individuals participated in 6 community education programs. 50 GateKeeper trainings reached 223 individuals.
Financial Assistance 353 families, representing 552 people, received financial assistance to help with short term crisis situations due to unemployment, under-employment, high medical or utility bills or other unexpected expenses.
Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry 5,135 families, representing 16,758 people, received more than 3,623,546 food and personal care items from the food pantry. There were a total of 27,825 visits (including deliveries) to the pantry in 2015. 193 volunteers donated 18,722 hours of service to the HKJFP through assisting clients, stocking shelves, sorting goods, registering new clients and more.
In-Home Services for Older Adults and Adults with Special Needs 129 individuals received a total of 26,844 hours of in-home services.
Information and Referral 3,068 individuals were provided information on community resources, risk assessment and crisis intervention.
