CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.

Fat Quarter StackCut 4 squares 3” x 3” and 34 squares 2½” x 2½’ from black dot.Cut 8 squares 3” x 3” and 28 squares 2½” x 2½” from black diamond.Cut 4 squares 3” x 3” and 4 squares 2½” x 2½” from each of the following fat quarters:

white main, yellow main, yellow scroll, white diamond, yellow medallion

Cut 8 squares 3” x 3” and 8 squares 2½” x 2½” from each of the following fat quarters:

black main, black scroll, gray scroll, black medallion, gray diamond, gray medallion

White MainCut 6 strips 5½” x WOF for Border 1.

Yellow DotCut 5 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 80 squares 2½” x 2½”.

Clean White SolidCut 10 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 160 squares 2½” x 2½”.Cut 7 strips 3” x WOF. Cut the strips into 80 squares 3” x 3”.Cut 4 strips 10½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 49 rectangles 2½” x 10½”

for sashing.

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics and blocks.

Jewel BlockRefer to the quilt photo for piece placement as each block is a different combination of fabrics. Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the clean white solid 3” squares. Place the clean white solid 3” squares on top of the assorted print 3” squares. Sew ¼” on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the lines to make 160 Half Square Triangles. Press. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 2½”.

Refer to the block diagram for placement of 8 clean white solid 2½” squares, 8 Half Square Triangles, 4 assorted print 2½” squares, 4 yellow dot 2½” squares, and 1 black diamond 2½” square. Lay out the squares in 5 rows of 5 squares. Sew the rows together to create the Jewel Block. Repeat to make 20 Jewel Blocks.

Posts and SashingRefer to quilt photo for post and sashing placement. Sew a black dot 2½” square to a clean white solid 2½ x 10½” rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 5 posts and 4 sashing rectangles. Make 6 post and sashing rows.

Sashing and BlocksRefer to quilt photo for block and sashing placement. Sew a clean white solid 2½ x 10½” rectangle to a Jewel Block. Repeat to make a row with 5 sashing rectangles and 4 blocks. Make 5 sashing and block rows.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to quilt photo for row placement. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BorderSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 62½”. Top and bottom borders should be 60½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Parisian Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
