The Jeti TitanX challenges perceptions of what a printer can do for your

business delivering high production speeds, the highest quality 6 color

high resolution images and white ink. All in one printer.

The Jeti TitanX is the latest in Agfa Graphics’ Jeti line of UV printers. It

builds on the success of its predecessors by combining the best of both

worlds – high productivity and the highest quality all in one machine.

Configured for the ultimate in flexibility, the Jeti TitanX offers the

operator fast switching from 4 (CMYK) to 6-color (high fidelity

CMYKLcLm) imaging and back on a job-by-job basis. In both modes it

offers the versatility of white ink with eight dedicated white print heads

out of the total of 48 configured to generate exceptional levels of

productivity – up to 225 m² (2,433 ft²) per hour.

Moreover the TitanX has a Flat to Roll option that will give you the

ability to print roll materials with the same high quality and resolution.

Extending the successful Jeti Titan series of modular UV-curable wide-

format printers, Agfa Graphics offers the Jeti TitanX. With its proven

reliable moving table flatbed technology, Jeti TitanX, is designed as

a versatile wide format printing platform that caters for both higher

productivity and superior print quality with extreme color accuracy.

The Jeti TitanX offers the operator fast switching from 4 (CMYK) to

6-color (high fidelity CMYKLcLm) imaging and back on a job-by-job

basis.

In both modes it offers the versatility of white ink applications with

eight dedicated white print heads out of the total of 48 configured to

generate exceptional levels of productivity.

FTR (Flat-to-Roll) option for even more flexibility.

The flat-to-roll option gives you the ability to print roll material with

the same high quality and resolution as rigid materials, without losing

speed, enabling to print banners on your flatbed engine. The FTR

option can handle rolls up to 250 lbs (113 kg) so you can buy media

economically and you can compete in more markets.

Extended light colour printing

The addition of light cyan and light magenta will expand your range of

colour gradations. You will be able to print more grey levels than before

for more realistic, smoother skin tones and subtle degradées. Adding

light cyan and light magenta enhances the print quality considerably,

producing a more photo-realistic image.

High-value and high quality work like POP viewed at close range can

be produced with photorealistic quality with the use of Agfa’s Anuvia 6

colour ink set. If high level art, fashion and cosmetics are your market,

this is the mode for you. Switching to 4 colour mode for higher volume

work requires no manual intervention.

Both 4-color and 6-color modes work equally well with Agfa’s FTR –

“Flat to Roll” option for running roll media. This makes the Jeti TitanX

the ultimate solution for production flexibility.

No compromise on image quality

The Jeti TitanX delivers no compromise high resolution - 8 pico liter

at a native 600 dpi and can deliver 1200 dpi for photorealistic image

quality and fine text down to 4pt positive and negative whilst still

delivering intense band free solids.

With this head technology you will be able to satisfy even the most

demanding customers. With 48 print heads, the TitanX can give you the

flexibility of multi colour or white ink allowing increased flexibility and

broadening the applications you can support.

Advanced Electronics

The new electronics platform on the Jeti TitanX is designed for the

future. With processor upgrade capability the TitanX has the power to

keep your system running at top speed into the future.

This power is not just for imaging, the TitanX also features automatic

head height adjustment so as you switch substrates the TitanX adjusts

as well with no loss of time. The laser media height detection system

can automate the set up of new medias and check for damaged board

edges. In-line shuttle safety sensors protect the printheads from

inadvertent strikes.

Quality is further enhanced with Topology Optimization, a powerful

set of measurement and jetting compensation algorithms. An optical

camera scans the bed to create a topographical map of the imaging

area. In the background, the algorithms make velocity compensation

calculations to ensure optimized dot placement. The result is a

spectacular image quality whether printing uni-directionally or

bi-directionally.

Anti-static reliable printing

Surface static energy is a known adversary in UV printing. Undesirable

effects include “misting”, dust artifacts, fuzzy images & type or even

“ghosted” images. Many of today’s rigid medias are susceptible to

static charge, especially in the dry colder months. This needn’t be a

worry with the TitanX’ antistatic system. Mounted right on the carriage

to pass over your media before jetting, both negatively and positively

charged areas of your media are neutralized.

Auto Head Height

Adjusting the carriage height to account for the differences in media

thickness can be a time consuming but necessary task. Not accounting

for these variations can lead to head strikes. Over-compensating for

them, by raising the heads using a larger standoff distance, impacts

image quality. The solution? – the TitanX’ auto head height system.

With it, an optical laser mounted on the carriage is used to measure

the high point on your media’s surface. The system software then

automatically adjusts the carriage height to optimize image quality

while eliminating the risk of head strikes due to imperfect media.

Media Detection Sensor

TitanX’ media detection sensor will instantly detect any obstacle in the

carriage’s path – preventing damage to your printer. When activated,

the auto-recovery function takes over and re-homes the carriage and

table, so you are printing again right away. Whether operator error has

left an obstruction in the imaging area, or tape or media has curled,

your investment will be protected by an instant braking of the carriage

to avoid head replacement, repairs and downtime.

Shuttle safety sensors

The in-line shuttle safety sensors prevent print-heads from touching the

substrate. This will avoid damage to the precious heads in case you are

working with media that is susceptible to temperature, light conditions

or to humidity for instance.

Topology Optimization for spectacular image quality

The TitanX set the standard for high quality true flatbed imaging. Not to

rest on our laurels, we asked if it could be made even better. The result

– a unique cutting edge technology we call Topology Optimization.

The impact of the microscopic topographical variations is minimized

through the magic of a powerful set of measurement and jetting

optimisation algorithms in TitanX’ Topology Optimization. How it works:

an optical camera scans the bed to create a topographical map of the

imaging area. In the background, algorithms make velocity optimisation

calculations to ensure “compensated” optimized dot placement. The

result – spectacular image quality whether printing uni-drectionally or

bi-directionally.
