Jesus in the Americas

Summary based on 3 Nephi 1 1-17

The people were gathered around the temple after three days of darkness and storm. They

were talking about the signs that had been given and wondering about Jesus, who the prophets

had told them about. They all heard a voice, a soft voice that penetrated their hearts. They

did not understand this voice until the third time when they looked up and concentrated. Then the

voice said, “This is my beloved son.” They looked up and saw a man descending from the sky.

When He got to the earth, He stretched forth His hands and said, “Behold I am Jesus Christ

whom the prophets testified would come into the world….” They all came forth and touched the

marks in His hands and feet and side. Then they shouted, “Hosanna!”

He healed all their sick and called their children to Him. He said a prayer with them. He cried..

He blessed all the little ones and angels came down from heaven and the children were encircled

with fire. Jesus loves the little children. The people were so righteous and faithful that they

experienced many miracles with Jesus here in the Americas. Jesus cried with joy that they were

so faithful. How wonderful it would be to live a life in such a way that it would bring the Savior

much joy!
