GENERAL OVERVIEW FOR PHASE 1
All CCSD facilities and buildings will remain closed to the general public
in Phase 1.
In addition, all schools will
remain closed for students for the remainder of the
2019-2020 school year.
Phase 1 will be enacted when the
Governor lifts Stay Home for
Nevada.

GRADUATION CEREMONIES
School-specific graduation ceremonies must meet the following guidelines:
Strictly adhere to the parameters from the CDC, SNHD, and the
Governor’s state-specific
phased-in reopening plan.
Guidance for live streaming for each high school can be provided by Vegas PBS.
School-specific graduation plans
must be submitted and
approved by the Region
Superintendent.
Scheduling of each graduation ceremony will be
centrally collected.
Minimum required
components within the
ceremony will be implemented.

STIMULUS DOLLARS AND STATE BUDGET
$13.5 billion for K-12 Emergency Relief
Funds
• Based on Title I allocations (approximately 70-80% of current allocation)• State Department of Education applied for these dollars on April 28, 2020• Application for Districts will be released on May 12, 2020
$3 billion to States for Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund
• Approximately $26 million to Nevada
4%-14% reductions in state agency budgets
• On April 3, the Governor announced that he asked all state agencies to develop plans for a 4% reduction in FY20 and reduction of 6-14% in FY21
• Anticipated budget reductions to be announced in May 2020
Call for the Federal Government to provide
additional dollars
• $250 billion dollar request for federal aid for K-12 schools and higher education
