Matthew 7:13-29 (Amplified Bible, AMP)13 Enter through the narrow gate (that leads away to life); for wide is the gate and spaciousand broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are enteringthrough it.14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressedthat leads away to life, and few are those who find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they aredevouring wolves.16 You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs fromthistles?17 Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit [worthy of admiration], but the sickly(decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit.18 A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bearexcellent fruit [worthy of admiration].19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.20 Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits.21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who

does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name anddriven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you whoact wickedly [disregarding My commands].24 So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will belike a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yetit did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid(foolish) man who built his house upon the sand.27 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, andit fell--and great and complete was the fall of it.28 When Jesus had finished these sayings [the Sermon on the Mount], the crowds wereastonished and overwhelmed with bewildered wonder at His teaching,29 For He was teaching as One Who had [and was] authority, and not as [did] the scribes.

Mark 16:15-20 (Amplified Bible, AMP)15 And He (Jesus) said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the goodnews (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom itsets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does

not believe [(he) who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom itsets forth] will be condemned (to eternal death).17 And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive outdemons; they will speak in new languages;18 They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them;they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.19 So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and Hesat down at the right hand of God.20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them andconfirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it].Amen (so be it).

Matthew 28:18-20 (Amplified Bible, AMP)18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule)in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Fatherand of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am withyou all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close andconsummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

Matthew 18:18-20 (Amplified Bible, AMP)18 Truly I (Jesus) tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful onearth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declareproper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.19 Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphonytogether) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and bedone for them by My Father in heaven.20 For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) Myname, there I AM in the midst of them.

Acts 1:1-11 (Amplified Bible, AMP)1 In the former account [which I prepared], O Theophilus, I made [a continuous report] dealingwith all the things which Jesus began to do and to teach2 Until the day when He ascended, after He through the Holy Spirit had instructed andcommanded the apostles (special messengers) whom He had chosen.3 To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and onthe cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences andinfallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things ofthe kingdom of God.4 And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave

Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heardMe speak.5 For John baptized with water, but not many days from now you shall be baptized with(placed in, introduced into) the Holy Spirit.6 So when they were assembled, they asked Him, Lord, is this the time when You willreestablish the kingdom and restore it to Israel?

7 He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [thethings and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their criticalniche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice andauthority and personal power.8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has comeupon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to theends (the very bounds) of the earth.9 And when He had said this, even as they were looking [at Him], He was caught up, and acloud received and carried Him away out of their sight.10 And while they were gazing intently into heaven as He went, behold, two men [dressed] inwhite robes suddenly stood beside them,11 Who said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing into heaven? This same Jesus, Whowas caught away and lifted up from among you into heaven, will return in [just] the same wayin which you saw Him go into heaven.

Acts 2:1-4 (Amplified Bible, AMP)1 And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in oneplace,2 When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast,and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting.3 And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributedand which settled on each one of them.4 And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began tospeak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clearand loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].

Ephesians 3:1-21 (Amplified Bible, AMP)1 For this reason [because I preached that you are thus built up together], I, Paul, [am] theprisoner of Jesus the Christ for the sake and on behalf of you Gentiles--2 Assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace (His unmerited favor) thatwas entrusted to me [to dispense to you] for your benefit,3 [And] that the mystery (secret) was made known to me and I was allowed to comprehend itby direct revelation, as I already briefly wrote you.4 When you read this you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.5 [This mystery] was never disclosed to human beings in past generations as it has now beenrevealed to His holy apostles (consecrated messengers) and prophets by the [Holy] Spirit.6 [It is this:] that the Gentiles are now to be fellow heirs [with the Jews], members of the samebody and joint partakers [sharing] in the same divine promise in Christ through [theiracceptance of] the glad tidings (the Gospel).7 Of this [Gospel] I was made a minister according to the gift of God's free grace (undeservedfavor) which was bestowed on me by the exercise (the working in all its effectiveness) of His

power.8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God's consecrated people), this grace(favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles theunending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealthwhich no human being could have searched out],9 Also to enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan [regarding the Gentiles

and providing for the salvation of all men] of the mystery kept hidden through the ages andconcealed until now in [the mind of] God Who created all things by Christ Jesus.10 [The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in allits infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulersand authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.11 This is in accordance with the terms of the eternal and timeless purpose which He hasrealized and carried into effect in [the person of] Christ Jesus our Lord,12 In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage andconfidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).13 So I ask you not to lose heart [not to faint or become despondent through fear] at what Iam suffering in your behalf. [Rather glory in it] for it is an honor to you.14 For this reason [seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ],I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom allfatherhood takes its title and derives its name].16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforcedwith mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermostbeing and personality].17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanenthome) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints[God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and heightand depth [of it];19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] thelove of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may befilled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of thedivine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us,is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we[dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, ordreams]--21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever andever. Amen (so be it).
