Our Journey began nearly 50 years ago in a trailer in Liberty City; at a time when we were known as Economic Opportunity Family Health Center, or affectionately referred to as Family Health Center. We were the 3rd Federally Qualified Health Care Center in the nation at that time. Our start-up health care facility supported hundreds of patients by providing quality medical services.

Today, we are the Jessie Trice Community Health Center, Inc. (JTCHC). We have expanded to multiple locations that are strategically located in the heart of our many diverse communities throughout Miami-Dade. We have heard the call of our people and are working tirelessly to deliver accessible, affordable, quality health care to those in need. We have touched the lives of hundreds of thousands and have impacted millions. We are engaged and intertwined with the needs of our communities. The support of generational patients and Community Health Center advocates has allowed us to sustain in this ever changing environment.

In June 2017, JTCHC will reach an unprecedented milestone of 50 years of service in our community. While significant as this is, we’re not done yet. As the need for quality, accessible healthcare continues to grow, so will JTCHC. We are embarking on a fundraising campaign to assist in upgrading our aging facilities and help offset costs for our expansion, such as our soon to come facility in Miami Gardens. We invite you to share in this journey with us as a sponsor. Your support will help defray some of the costs of our capital improvement/capital equipment plans and help us formally recognize our milestone achievement of 50 years of service.

fifty-four (54) facilities, which includes eleven (11) Comprehensive Primary Care centers, including a women’s substance use residential program, forty (40) school-based locations and two (2) university centers. JTCHC’s multicultural,
