Module 1: Health & Safety
Aims
On completion of this module you will have understanding & knowledge of:
• the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & the implications of not using it.
• the appropriate PPE to use when using Jenflow products and the difference in PPE requirements from product to
product.
• correct treatment procedures if injury or illness should occur
• conditions such as Epoxy Sensitization
• Preventative measures i.e. PPE
• Product disposal
• Environment Impact
Course Scope
On attendance of a Jenflow Systems Resin Bound Course a trainee will attain a wealth of knowledge &
practical experiences. This course aims to give attendees the knowledge to enable them to install resin
bound systems competently & independently. During the course trainees will have various aims & objec-
tives to achieve which will be assessed through written assessment. The course covers 10 different mod-
ules (Health & Safety, Product information, New Bases, Pre Existing Bases, Resin bound Installation,
Common problems, Rubber crumb installations . Aims & Objectives for the different course modules are
listed below.
Module 2: Product Information
Aims
On completion of this module you will have understanding & knowledge of:
• Scope & purpose of each product
• Jenflow resin bound products
• Benefits & limitations of products
• Bond Vs Bound
• Equipment & tooling required
Module 3: New Base Installation
Aims
On completion of this module you will have understand & knowledge of:
• Different Bases
• Complete installation process of different bases
• Importance of various bases
• Testing sub-grade
• Strength of the sub-grade
• Sustainable drainage systems
• Specifications of different bases

Module 5: Resin Bound Installation Aims
On completion of this module you will have understand & knowledge of:
• Installation procedures
• Technical Information
• Thickness Guidelines
• Pointers for installation with ease
• Correct cleaning of tools
Module 4: Pre—Existing Bases
Aims
On completion of this module you will have understand & knowledge of:
• Correct base preparation methods for pre—existing bases
• Non compatible base
• Inspection of existing bases
• Crack repair
• Things to consider prior to install
• Expansion Joints
Module 6: Common problems + Consequences.
Aims:
On completion of this module you will have understanding & knowledge of:
• Main problems faced when installing resin bound
• Consequences of problems if not rectified.
• Consequences of poor preparation
• Effects of temperature
• Maintenance of a resin bound system

Module 7: Rubber Crumb & Tree Pits
Aims:
On completion of this module you will have understand & knowledge of:
• Correct mixing procedure in regards to rubber crumb
• Rubber crumb resin calculations
• Rubber crumb application
• Critical fall height
• Compatible bases
• Tree Pit Installation
Objectives
For the assessment component the objectives are:
• To demonstrate knowledge & understanding of all modules through a written knowledge assessment
• To read and understand the Jenflow Resin Bound Manual to assist with the assessment
• To complete the Jenflow Resin Bound training course which will give sufficient knowledge to enable trainees
to sit the written assessment
