Highlight of Current ActivitiesHighlight of Current Activities- Smart grid equipment standards are needed to handle
information data management, communications & control- Need for a flexible smart grid system – interoperability,
design & operational standards will allow near-term and long-term smart grid evolution
- Development of a body of interoperability smart grid standards is essential for the smart grid to operate
- IEEE is collaborating with global stakeholders to develop smart grid standards that will extend across the entire grid
