• There is an emphasis made in the life of this king on his right relationship with God (2 Chron. 17:1-6)

• What can we learn from Jehoshaphat? We learn the importance of going to God first, before acting – Bible study and prayer first, before making decisions in life

King of Jehovah’s Word• Jehoshaphat wanted the people to hear and learn from

God first (2 Chron. 17:7-9)

• Jehoshaphat wanted the people to hear God’s judgment first in daily, personal matters (2 Chron. 19:4-11)

King of Jehovah’s Word• Jehoshaphat was rebuked only when he joined himself

with man first, instead of with God (1 Kings 22:44; 2 Chron. 19:1-3; 20:35-37)
