Five-Year Plan Phase-In

Page 4: Jeffrey D. Knueppel, P.E. Deputy General Manager And

Fundamentals:

Work to reduce SEPTA’S $5 Billion SGR backlog (attack core infrastructure/service realignment plan needs)

Model after SEPTA’s successful Stimulus Program

• Provide outreach to DBE firms

• Report on jobs created/retained • Opportunities for various size and types of contractors

Page 5: Jeffrey D. Knueppel, P.E. Deputy General Manager And

Engineering Approach:

Design • In-house • 3rd Party (2 CSEC’s, 4 GEC’s, 6 GEC’s in the future) • Hybrid Mix • Bundling of Locations (RFP)

• Surveying GEC

Project Management • In-house • 3rd Party (3 CM Contracts) • Hybrid Mix • Maximization of Track Outages
