  • Isai kalaimany PACKIARAJAH KANNANHe learned violin from his father SRI PACKIARAJAH (SITI) a former professional violinist in srilanka. He con-

    tinued his musical studies at Jaffna university and got the title ESAI KALAYMANI . He also studied violin in India from violin guru M.S Anandaraman.

    He worked as orchestra leader for srilanka broadcasting corporation. He has been graded in highest category by sr-ilankan radio for classical carnatic music, violin solo, music composing and light music. He worked as a violin lecturer for Singapore Indian fine arts society for longtime. He performed for dance arangatam, Dance drama and violin solo in various countries( Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India,Hollend,france and England).

    MRITHANGAM: SHRI P. KIRUPAKARANMrithangam is played by Shri P. Kirupakaran. Shri P. Kirupakaran hails from a family of musicians

    and he has learned mrithangam under the training of Shri. M. Sithambaranathan, Shri. S. Mahendran at Anaamalai Isai Tamil Manrum and Mridanga Maestro Guru Karaikudi R. Mani. Shri P. Kirupakaran has given many magnificent performances as a soloist and is an accompanying artist both in the UK and abroad. He has received numerous prizes and earned many note worthy reviews.

  • Mrs. Anandarani BalendraAnandarani is a versatile stage actress, drama teacher, radio broadcaster, TV news reader and

    stage programme presenter. She and her husband Mr. K. Balendra founded the well known Tamil the-atre group the Tamil Performing Arts Society in 1978 which continues to stage drama performances both in UK and abroad. Anandarani herself has participated in more than 350 theatre shows in many countries over the years. Anandarani is a veteran Radio Ceylon drama artiste and a Bharatha Natyam teacher. Since 1994, she has compered for more than 100 Arangetrams and 250 stage shows in Lon-don. Anandarani is also a well known news reader on Deepam TV. Along with theatre and media activities, she has been working full time in the civil service for 21 years.

    Sri R.R.PrathapSri R.R.Prathap is a versatile artist from Bangalore south India, who is a student of Vidwan. K.N.Krishanmurthy

    of Banglore had his initial training under his brother vidwan R.N.Prakash . Started performing at a very early age of eight. He has performed in All India Radio at the age of two and a half years. He has achieved many prestigious awards including the 1995 Best Sahavadayam awarded given my Bangalore Gayan Samaj one of the prestigious music organisations in bangalore. He has also won many competitions including the 1997 National Competition conducted by All India Radio. He was also awarded scholar ship by Centre for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT) and he was the only student who was awarded this scholarship through out India for the instrument Ghatam (Clay Pot). He has regularly performed on Radio and Television and accompanied many leading artists like Kadari Gopalnath, Mandolin Srinivas, Balmurali Krishna, Sudharagunathan etc. He also plays in many know fusion groups and has also worked on composing for contemporary music and dance groups all over Europe. Prathap also special-ises in conducting dynamic, powerful and unique interactive drumming workshops and residencies for school kids of different age groups, and special needs people.

    He has performed for quite a few prestigious organizations in India & abroad. Notable among them are:
