Oconee County has assisted the Hospital with GO (Government Obligation) Bonds for some of our expansions back in the 70’s and 80’s. The Hospital issued Industrial
Revenue Bonds for our 1997 Outpatient Facility Expansion.
Hospital revenues pay back Industrial Revenue Bonds and taxpayers pay back GO bonds. Hospital revenues support all operations of Oconee Memorial Hospital other
than some funds that are given by Oconee County to supplement the operations of our Emergency Medical Services.
OMH has a landlord/tenant relationship with Oconee County for the property only.
