Console Monitoring – Mainframes Job Description: Candidate must have 2-3 years of Experience in Batch monitoring Candidate should be ready to work in 24*7 environments. Candidate will be required to work on different monitoring Tools. Candidate will be responsible for escalating job failures on time and achieve defined SLA’s Candidate should have a passion to learn new and manage tools and continuous improvement Candidate should be able to understand other tools quickly Candidate has to be a good team player with good communication skills Required Technical Skills: Support Automation products like System Automation for Z/OS/OPSMVS Good Knowledge of Console Operations on Mainframe environment. Knowledge of JES2 and JES3 environments. Good Command on MVS commands. Knowledge of ticketing tools like Remedy, Service center, Maximo is required. Responsibilities Perform operational functions on such as IPL’s, SAD, weight changes, POR etc from HMC. Stop/start of mainframe operating systems, subsystems, monitors (e.g. DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, JES2, DFHSM JES3, and VTAM) and DASD (storage devices) – (during maintenance windows and/or in terms of a disaster recovery). Ensure daily process & procedures remain accurate and up to date. Ensure account checklist items are completed and signed off. Troubleshooting on buffer shortages, JES shortages, SMF backup messages, JES Abends,

Batch Scheduling- Mainframes

Job Description:

Candidate must have 2-3 years of Experience in Batch Scheduling Candidate should be ready to work in shifts Candidate will be required to work on different Scheduling Tools. Candidate will be responsible for managing Scheduling environment independently and should have good problem analyzing skills Candidate should have a passion to learn new and manage tools and continuous improvementCandidate should be able to understand other tools quickly Candidate has to be a good team player with good communication skills

Required Technical Skills:

Candidate should have good experience on OPC.

Should able to work efficiently in building schedules and making changes when required.

Should possess good knowledge of Calendar Maintenance.

Good knowledge of JCL is required.

Knowledge of REXX is an advantage.

Knowledge of ticketing tools like Remedy, Maximo, etc.,

Responsibilities

Be able to create new jobs as per customers request within the defined SLA timeResolve Scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth Batch processingProviding RCA’s for all scheduling related issuesConstantly communicate the progress/issues of batch processing to the customersAttend customers scheduled meetings.Training the team on the technology as required.Address customer queries and issues through Incident tickets as per ITIL process, meeting all SLA’s.
