Binswanger Classic 2000 Mirror Silvering Specifications

ACI Distribution’s 1/4” Clear Float Glass Mirrors are made from “Mirror” quality float glass. The glass meets the requirements of ASTM C 1036-01, Type 1, Class 1, Quality Q2.

ACI Distribution takes this glass to our mirror plant where it is washed and then a layer of silver is applied to the glass. A protective layer of copper is applied over the silver followed by a coat of Lilly #4201-E 10039 Mirror backing paint that is heat cured. The low lead content of our backing paint is consistent with meeting the requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for low toxicity disposal.

Mirrors made by ACI Distribution meet the U.S. General Services Administration Specification DD-M-411 (1) (Int Amd 2) (Para IV). In addition, our mirrors meet the requirements of ASTM B 117-97, which includes the 300 hour exposed salt spray test and the 120 hour CASS ammonia test.

Binswanger Mirror provides this warranty with respect to its products. No other statement or representation concerning any of Binswanger Mirror’sproducts shall be construed as a warranty. This warranty shall extend only to Binswanger Mirror’s immediate customer and to no other person.

Binswanger Mirror warrants to purchaser that for a period of five years from date of manufacture (stamped on the back of its mirrors) under normalconditions, its float glass mirrors will be free of silvering defects resulting from improper production. Such defects include discoloration, black spots, andclouding of the silver film.

This warranty will be void if a Binswanger mirror is: 1) Damaged in handling or installation; 2) Subjected to foreign matter put on the back of the mirrorby others, including but not limited to drippings from cleaning or painting of walls; 3) Subject to requirements outside of normal architectural conditions;4) Exposed to abnormal conditions; 5) Used outside the United States.

Purchaser’s Remedy—Purchaser’s sole remedy and Binswanger Mirror’s sole responsibility with respect to any product which is defective under anywarranty applicable thereto shall be: REPLACEMENT OF SUCH PRODUCT WITHOUT CHARGE F.O.B. THE CUSTOMER’S PLACE OF BUSINESS;OR, AT BINSWANGER MIRROR’S OPTION IF REPLACEMENT IS IMPRACTICAL, THE REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE THEREOF. IN NOEVENT SHALL BINSWANGER MIRROR BE LIABLE FOR ANY LABOR EXPENDED BY OTHERS ON ANY SUCH MIRRORS OR FOR ANY OTHERCOSTS INCURRED IN THE REMOVAL OF DEFECTIVE MIRRORS OR IN THE INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT MIRRORS, OR FOR ANYOTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.Binswanger Mirror reserves the right to have any mirror reported as being defective under this warranty field-inspected by a qualified factory representativeand returned to the factory.

This warranty does not apply to replacement units beyond the period applying to the original unit.
