Data HoardingDaymon is a leading full-service private brand and consumer interactions company, providing its leading-edge services through multiple divisions organized under one corporate umbrella. DaymonWorldwide’s global footprint spans over 200 offices in 50 countries on 6 continents.
Having implemented an early version of JD Edwards (B73.2.1) in 1999, Daymon has been through a series of upgrades, and are currently using EnterpriseOne 9.1. As the company grew, inevitably the amount of data held on the system was expanding rapidly. Performance of such a large database was impacted: reports were taking a long time to run and the back up process was slowing.
Choosing a Purging and Archiving SolutionIt was clear that a robust purge and archive solution was required. Daymon began an assessment of 3rd party tools available which were suitable for their system. Specifically they were looking for a solution which would work on their Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Purchasing files within JD Edwards. Purge-it! was the ultimate selection because of the ‘look and feel’ of the user interface, which Daymon considered of high importance. The fact that the interface was easy to use, offered good functionality and the toolset was competitively priced, clinched the decision to choose Purge-it! as their preferred solution.
