Who is this camp for?Users of AAC
Why? To help withcommunication and to get
the “camp” experience.This is the Seventeenth year for
Camp McYack.
When? Camp will be held on Friday,June 7, 2019 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
and Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 8:30amto 3:00pm. You can choose to attend
both days or just Saturday.
Mr. Leon Hunt, volunteered his time and materials so that the Camp McYack Campers could build and keep their very own bird house. Thank you

Where will we stay? Cabins will beavailable for free to sleep over, or hotelphone numbers can be given out upon
request. You must bring your ownbedding if you are staying in a cabin.
Who is sponsoring the Camp?Camp McYack is being sponsored by
the JCISD, Elaine and Leo Stern Foundation,
Premiere Sports, Krupa’s Boat Mart, Liberty Fire Department, and many More.
*The Elaine and Leo Stern Foundation gave a very large donation to Camp McYack. We are very grateful to the Foundation and the Board
for choosing Camp McYack. Thank you.
What else do you need to Know? 1. The registration fee will be $25.00 for the student and $5.00 for each additional person. Your money will not be returned when you arrive at camp. You will not get your fee back if you cancel.2. Camp is limited to 20 users.3. A parent, caregiver, or other responsible adult must accompany each camper.4. The camp does not provide transportation.
Camp McYack 2018
Camp Highlights:Students will be given the opportunity
to interact with other students who use PRC, Apple, & Tobii/Dynavox, and many more
types of AC devices.1. Each student will be given the opportunity to experience real camp like situations.
2. Tobii/Dynavox & PRC representatives may be available to provide support. (They are not always able to attend.)3. It will allow parents to help and advise other parents.4. Special guests from Above The Wake will be attending camp to allow the campers to participate in water activities. 5. It will be a great learning experience.
Annie (Maggie Paige) and Daddy Warbucks (David Trippett), from the Sauk Theatre, came and performed a number from their current production. Thank you Maggie, David, and The Sauk Theatre.
