The most important JCI event of the year was the presentation of the new President of JCI Moldova and JCI Chisinau, summarizing the organization's activities, awards and recognition of members and partners - Annual Meeting was held on 22 December 2012. At the Annual Meeting, JCI Moldova and JCI Chisinau President - Sergiu Soltan, presented the annual report of the activities of JCI Moldova and JCI Chisinau for 2012, highlighting that in 2012 were:

• organized 132 JCI activities that benefitted • 3624 people within and outside of JCI.

The event culminated with coronation of the 2013 President of JCI Moldova, Sergiu Matei, and the 2013 President of JCI Chisinau, Olga Melniciuc, then the new JCI Presidents recited the President’s Oath and presented their visions for the new term. Also took place and recognition of full members, partners and supporters of the organization for their considerable contribution in the development of JCI in Moldova. Among the guests present at the event were Silvia Radu (Executive President of "Gas Natural Fenosa" and "EBA"), Dumitru Slonovschi (Director of "Magenta"), Sergiu Certan (Director of "Sigur-Asigur"), George Teodorescu (Managing Attorney David Vernon), Vitalie Arventi (Head of Marketing, Communication, Community Department BCR Chisinau).

"I truly believe that in 2013, JCI Moldova will become the largest organization for young active citizens in Moldova, an organization that will grow and empower young citizens to create positive changes in our society. In 2013 we intend to bring entrepreneurship in all the regions of Moldova. We believe that entrepreneurship is the power that will move things – it is what our country needs today. And it is our responsibility to be part of this - today. Entrepreneurship is in every field, business, company, public institution. We see entrepreneurship as a lifestyle, an approach to take responsibility, to innovate, to take risks and make positive changes in your life and in the life of others as well. As a final thought, I would like to thank to JCI Moldova and Chisinau President 2012 - Sergiu Soltan, for every day contribution, vision and dedication. Good luck to the new management team of JCI Chisinau, and to the JCI Chisinau President - Olga Melniciuc.

I. Regional Development

Members • Develop JCI in such cities as:

Cahul, Dubăsari, Soroca, Ungheni, Chișinău, Ialoveni, Rezina, Ștefan Vodă, Leova, Orhei, Bălți, Comrat.

• Identify key people in regions. • Offer the necesary

JCI Media & Communication Master Class

Academy 2013

When? 30 January - 3 February 2013 Where? Izmir, Turcia About: For 5 consecutive years, in January, JCI World Press officers meet at the academy to study the art of public relations and media sources. This year the Media & Communication Master Class Academy 2013, JCI Moldova was represented by Vice-President - Inga Grigoriu. „I am very happy for having the honor to represent JCI Moldova at this academy. During the days spent in Turkey I had the opportunity to interact with JCI members from 15 European countries, share our experiences in JCI and learn more about how to to best organize and develop the media plan of the organization over the year, in order to spread JCI in Moldova.” mentioned Inga Grigoriu

JCI Leadership Academy When? August 2013 Where? Japan About: JCI Leadership Academy is designed for Executive Vice-Presidents to gain leadership skills necessary for the next term of the National President.

JCI World Congress When? 4 - 9 November 2013 Where? Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

About: Every year in November, JCI members around the world (over 100 countries) meet at this global forum in order to find new ways to create positive changes and enhance the positive impact of the JCI movement. This year at the JCI World Congress, JCI Moldova aims to become a full member in the JCI International network.

The 2013 conference will include a competition of the best European Social Business Plans", grand prize being 20,000 EUR. A Formula 1 competition will be held three days prior to the conference, which can be attended by conference participants. Participation: The participation fee is 379 EUR. .

JCI European Presidents Meeting When? 21 - 24 February 2013 Where? Luxembourg About: This event is a meeting between all National Presidents of European countries in order to discuss the development of JCI in Europe and share experiences and expertise.

Projects Entrepreneurs in Schools

In the period October 2012 - May 2013 JCI Moldova in collaboration with Junior Achievement Moldova (JA) started the "Entrepreneurs in Schools" project. This project is based on the School Company - JA international program of economic and entrepreneurial education "learning by doing" for students aged 15 to 19 years old. School Company is a economic and business "laboratory" designed to help students better understand the theoretical principles of business and market economy mechanisms. In the first stage, between November 2012 and January 2013, about 20 entrepreneurs, which are JCI members, undertook 15 visits to high schools within the capital and surrounding regions interacting with over 600 high school students, and presenting them models of good practice in entrepreneurship in order to help and motivate in finding a business idea for the basis of a company they will run in their high schools. Subsequently, JCI members will become mentors for high school students and will guide the process of initiation and development a company. In addition to learning practical economic and business concepts, students will develop a strong sense of responsibility and enhance learning skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills and the ability to work in real economic terms. The project will finish with a Corporate National School Fair, which will take place in a school competition where companies compete guided by their mentors and JCI members, and the best company with their mentor will participate in the European Company of the Year Competition (European Company of the Year) which will take place in July 2013 in London, UK.

Working visits in Ungheni, Stefan Voda and Leova During November and December, JCI made working visits to Ungheni, Stefan Voda and Leova in order to present opportunities offered by JCI and identify key people who would be interested in opening JCI local organizations in their localities. Visits were made to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ungheni and to the Business incubators in Leova and Stefan Voda. Business Networking events for local entrepreneurs were organized during these visits to foster the interaction between youth from Chisinau and help identify opportunities. Furthermore, trainings on personal development was held for youth in the region.

Future Plans - Extension of JCI in Rezina, Balti, Dubasari. Creation of initiative groups in these regions, identification of the key people there and implementing the first JCI projects. - Participation at the JCI European President Meeting in Luxembourg. Between 21 to 24 February 2013, JCI Moldova President 2013 - Sergiu Matei will attend the JCI European Presidents meeting. - Creation of JCI TV Show. JCI Moldova in collaboration with a television station will create a JCI show. The show will be held weekly, and within this show will be invited various entrepreneurs, JCI members and others who recorded remarkable achievements in the working field to share their experiences with viewers. - Convention of Working Groups will take place in May and involves a meeting of all the regional initiative groups in a 2 day event, which will include information sessions, networking sessions and brainstorming sessions to outline the next key activities of the Working Groups. - Creation of an Investment Fund. The Investment Fund will aim to support young entrepreneurs by offering business training, expertise, funding and consulting. The first project of the JCI Chisinau Investment Fund Committee is the Business Accelerator consisting of a set of business events, mentoring program and masters’ class, where young people with new business ideas can apply and finally present their business to investors. - Local Projects. Guidance in the implementation of local projects organized by JCI Chisinau and other potential JCI Local Organizations.
