• 1928: The John Bean Spray Pump Company acquired Anderson Barngrover, maker of Rotary Sterilizers, Fillers and other fruit processing equipment

• 1945: FMC invests in and eventually acquires all of

IMC, a consortium including the Continental Can Company in St. Niklaas Belgium. - Rotaries, Continental Closers, Fillers, and other

Canning equipment sold throughout the world. - In 1990 started manufacturing Retorts and ABRS to

complete the sterilization portfolio.

• 1975: Molenaar in South Africa introduces competitive Rotary Sterilizer. Makes significant headway from 2000 forward

• 1982: San Jose manufacturing moved to Madera. CA

• 2012: JBT acquires Molenaar Rotary Product Line and merges into South African operation.

by April 1, 2015. 5 dedicated to Shop 5 dedicated to Service. » 10 Successful applicants will receive a conditional offer:

• Successfully gain admission to State Center Community College – Apply no later than April 15

• Submit to a physical including drug screen • Complete and clear a background screen

» Employment Start date June 5, 2015. » Full time paid hourly positons including benefits. » $14.42 /hour $30k annualized – non-exempt positions. » Attend 1 – 2 classes at the Madera Center Tuesday, Wednesday and

Thursday afternoons. Days may vary according to the class. (First semester. Education dates and times will vary for the four year program)

• Apprenticeship Program » California Apprenticeship application approved » Upon successfully completing all work processes (8,000 hours) the

apprentice will be declared a Journeyman JBT has control over declaring when Journeyman status achieved.

The Program – The Apprenticeship and Program Expected Outcome – 4 years.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES Employees completing the 4 year development program will be assigned into their respective departments – Shop or Service: Manufacturing Technician I or Service Technician I

Machinists Certificate Maintenance Mechanic Certificate CNC Programming Journeyman

All units would apply to an AS degree. Participating employees would be expected to commit working for JBT an additional four (4) years.

JBT is an at-will employer.
