RISK QUIZ!Understanding who to call during a
risk management issue can be difficult. Luckily, this quiz will help
guide the way!
Is there a risk management issue?
Start here!
No
Yes
Carry on! Remember to always have emergency
numbers on hand - chaperones, Local Risk Manager, Local Chapter
President, and NYC Liaison.
Notify a chaperone. Is someone
seriously injured or sick?
YesNo
With a chaperones help, notify the participants
parents. Ensure that the proper medical action is
taken, and notify the Local Risk Manager,
Local Chapter President, and NYC Liaison.
Has R-07 been broken (abuse of drugs, alcohol, or seemingly sexual
activity)?
Yes
No
With a chaperones help, notify the Local Risk
Manager, Local Chapter President, and NYC Liaison. If R-07 is
violated, the participant will be disciplined.
Parents must be notified and the violators may be
dismissed from the program and sent home.
Contact the NJRs to inform them of the
situation.
Has there been a violation of the Child Protection Policy and Procedures (inappropriate
conduct between an adult [18+] and an underage participant)?
YesFind another chaperone immediately. Notify the Local Risk Manager, Local Chapter President,
and NYC Liaison. It is extremely important that the local chapter
knows of the situation so they can follow-up with the offending adult and ensure that the situation does not occur again at another event.
No
Does this issue violate the Social Media Guidelines
or involve the internet?
No
When in doubt, notify a chaperone and contact your NYC liaison and NJRs with any
questions.
