After numerous successful years owning an equipment rental and event planning business, Jason Farris decided to sell his business and pursue a completely different career. “I knew that I wanted to do something that also allowed me to work with people and was communitybased. My uncle had been in real estate most of his professional life and had always told me that I would make a great REALTOR®. So in 2004, I started working for him selling land. After two years, I got my Brokers license and made the switch to residential sales and haven’t looked back since.”
Farris started with Realty Concepts before opening his own brokerage, which really put his name on the map in the Fresno market. In 2010, he was approached by Guarantee Real Estate. “I loved the fact they were a locally owned and operated… a company with deep local roots. They also offered me unsurpassed
resources, things that only a large company really can, which made the decision a no brainer for me.”
Farris has built his reputation on a

strong work ethic combined with innovative solutions to home sales. “Clients are paying us a lot of money and I believe that they deserve hard work in return. The list of things I
do for my clients is exhaustive and extensive, no matter what the price point of the home, every one of my listings gets the same level of service. The other thing I do a little differently

is that rather than focus on just selling the home, I try and sell the lifestyle that the home offers. I then create a comprehensive marketing plan, figure out who our potential buyers are, and target them.”
But perhaps most key to Farris’ remarkably fast success, has been his absolute dedication to the community that he represents. “Fresno has
a lot of negative opinions about it, which is really a shame. I started a website called Fresyes.com that really highlights all the positive things that Fresno has to offer. We feature local businesses, community events, and I even have residents contributing to the site as well. It’s not just real estate content, but I do feature properties on it and the traffic I’ve built on the site has

been a huge benefit to my clients. I also have a Fresyes Facebook page with over 20,000 actively engaged followers. You never know where potential buyers will come from and I do everything I can to make sure I leave no stone unturned, while at the same time, trying to make it fun.”
Farris plans to further grow his business, but his biggest passions
will always be promoting a higher level of customer service and the community that he loves. “I want people to know that Fresno is a great place to live, you don’t have to be in Los Angeles or San Francisco, you can be right in the center of California and have amazing things to do. I not only want to continue to raise the bar on my own customer service, but I do coaching now at

my company, helping new agents to also strive for excellence. For me it’s not about the next deal, if you want to be in real estate for the long haul,
the secret is to not make it about just getting listings. It’s about helping people and then exceeding all of their expectations.”
