Strategic Objectives

The primary objective of this project was to consolidate the three existing offi cesinto one facility that would house all of its business operations. JLT India wantedto combine its facilities to increase productivity of existing resources andincrease manageability.

JLT India also wanted to use this consolidation as an opportunity to harnessshared insight, knowledge and creativity among its employees, providing adistinctive and entrepreneurial work environment that would allow employeesto collaborate to ensure that all parts of the company work together to deliverclient solutions. An upgraded cabling infrastructure would support the needto transmit information as quickly as possible so employees could serviceclients in a timely manner. To do this, it was critical that the cablinginfrastructure be deployed as quickly as possible to allow for aseamless transition that would not interrupt service to its clients.

Panduit enables JLT India to build a robust, new facility based on a

unifi ed physical infrastructure that accommodates its growing

business requirements.

Business Challenges

To accommodate its continuous growth, address the steady rise of operationalexpenses (OpEx), and provide the best-in-class working environment for itsemployees, JLT India decided to build a new multi-story facility that wouldconsolidate three existing offi ces.

With the three separate offi ces, JLT India was experiencing challenges withoptimizing primary resources in the areas of human resources, infrastructure, andbudgets. The company was also sustaining increasing OpEx, which it neededto control.

Located in Powai, Mumbai, the new 123,000 square foot offi ce would hold1500 employees, consolidating the existing offi ces into one location to increasemanageability and productivity of existing manpower, and control costs whilemaintaining business agility.

It was a priority to JLT India for the new building to be completed within a tighttimeframe of 80 days. The company places its clients fi rst, and needed the newstate-of-the-art facility to quickly accommodate all Mumbai based teams throughout the consolidation process.

Delivering a Scalable, ConsolidatedFacility that Increases Productivityand Enhances Growth

Panduit enables JLT India to build a robust, new facility based on a

unifi ed physical infrastructure that accommodates its growing

business requirements.

Business Challenges

To accommodate its continuous growth, address the steady rise of operationalexpenses (OpEx), and provide the best-in-class working environment for itsemployees, JLT India decided to build a new multi-story facility that wouldconsolidate three existing offi ces.

With the three separate offi ces, JLT India was experiencing challenges withoptimizing primary resources in the areas of human resources, infrastructure, andbudgets. The company was also sustaining increasing OpEx, which it neededto control.

Located in Powai, Mumbai, the new 2,000 square foot offi ce would hold 1500employees, consolidating the existing offi ces into one location to increasemanageability and productivity of existing manpower, and control costs whilemaintaining business agility.

It was a priority to JLT India for the new building to be completed within a tighttimeframe of 80 days. The company places its clients fi rst, and needed the newstate-of-the-art facility to quickly accommodate all Mumbai based teams throughout the consolidation process.

JLT India required a robust, highly reliable, end-to-end solution with proven offerings and needed a solutions provider who could accommodate its desire to fulfi l customer expectations within a scalable facility while accommodating the strict timeframefor completion.

JLT India also chose thissystem because it provides exceptional cable performance, ensures proper performanceand quick installation. Interoperable and backward compatible, this end-to-end systemoffers design fl exibility to protect JLT India’s network investments well into the future.

To improve cable management, JLT India chose Panduit® NetRunner™ High CapacityVertical Cable Managers which organize, manage, protect and showcase networkcabling while ensuring system performance and reliability within the JLT India facility.The NetRunner™ High Capacity Vertical Cable Managers also minimize risks to systemperformance in data centers and/or telecommunications rooms.

Panduit Fiber Optic Systems deliver high performance, reliability and scalability tomeet JLT India’s specifi c cabling requirements. These systems feature low loss, highperformance connectivity for added fl exibility, performance and scalability, assuring lowertotal cost of ownership and greater return on investment. OM3 Fiber and Opti-Cam® andOpti-Core® Enclosures and Assemblies were installed to deliver consistent performanceand reliability of mission-critical systems within the JLT India facility.

The Panduit Network Identifi cation Solution was implemented to ensure that JLT Indiacan quickly and accurately identify system components and connections.

Along with the Panduit solution, selected partners for this project were Cutech as theconsultant and ANA Designs as the architect. Netlogic Systems (P) Ltd served as thesystems integrator and contractor and Online Netsys (P) Ltd was the distributor.

The primary objective of this project was to consolidate the three existing offi cesinto one facility that would house all of its business operations. JLT India wantedto combine its facilities to increase productivity of existing resources andincrease manageability.

JLT India also wanted to use this consolidation as an opportunity to harnessshared insight, knowledge and creativity among its employees, providing adistinctive and entrepreneurial work environment that would allow employeesto collaborate to ensure that all parts of the company work together to deliverclient solutions. An upgraded cabling infrastructure would support the needto transmit information as quickly as possible so employees could serviceclients in a timely manner. To do this, it was critical that the cablinginfrastructure be deployed as quickly as possible to allow for aseamless transition that would not interrupt service to its clients.

In addition, the new facility would allow JLT India to utilize technologyto achieve increased effi ciency and competitiveness and develop aworld-class knowledge center in Mumbai. This move would expandits operations to allow the company to re-engineer its businessprocesses to enhance its productivity for the benefi t of its clients.
