I know that people indifferent parts of the world experienced different parts of the war. People in Japan had to live through the bombing of Hiroshima. And people in France had to live through D-day. Soldiers in Russia had to fight for our cause in Slatingrad, but I feel proud that I made history about War World II in America. However I was glad to leave the Manzanar Camp in 1945. Once released, we began to rebuild our damaged life. My father found a new home for us, just a few blocks from our old home in Mustang Island. Our lives were forming back together and the past was gone. From our time at the camp, to when we came back to our normal life, I felt I closer to my family than ever. The whole time we were at the camp, my family was supportive of each other, and kept each others’ spirits up. We lost hope that we would return home.
