We are currently seeking a professional to join our Investments Team in the role of Research Associate.

Research Associate

Description:

This Associate will work under the general direction of the Research Analyst s c overing thefinancial s ector. The position directly supports the investment research process through a broadrange of general responsibilities including: data gathering/analysis, database maintenance,model development/maintenance, financial analytics and the monitoring of sell-side research.

In this role, you will

Build, update and maintain detailed bank, diversified financial service company, andinsurance modelsResearch work on key leverage points of companies; including conversations withmanagement and industry expertsMaintain and track data/metrics on specific companies, industries and economic trendsExpands projects to enhance the quantity and quality of dataParticipates in team meetings and general investment team meetings

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Deg ree graduate in finance, economics, accounting, or related field preferred. At leastsom e accounting and economics experience essential.1-2 Years experience dealing with financial services models on either the sell- or buy-side.Good communicator and fluent in Mandarin and EnglishStrong interest in the financial sector and macroeconomicsCreative self-starter, good team player with the ability to work independently, prioritize andmake decisionsStrong understanding of public company financial statements, concepts and measures

Advanced computer skills . MS Excel experience required. Charting and VBA experience aplus.

Ability to apply valuation tools to models such as ROIC, ROE and be confident aroundDCFs..Experience using MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint, CEIC, Datastream, Factset andBloombergExperience with bank and/or insurance c ompanies accounting preferred
