2019 “Watchamacallit”
Supported Two
Charities
Financial Plus Credit Union and
the Swartz Creek Area
Chamber of Commerce hosted
their 16th Annual
Whatchamacallit event
December 6th at the Financial
Plus Credit Union branch on
Van Slyke Rd in Flint. The goal
of this holiday event is to raise
money and donations to benefit
the Old Newsboys of Flint and

Michigan.
“Each year, we look forward to
hosting this event with
Financial Plus Credit Union.
“The support and donations we
receive from the attendees helps
two great causes.” remarked
Nathan Shue, President of the
Swartz Creek Area Chamber
Commerce.
The event had festive music,
prize drawings, a photo booth,
and a breakfast buffet provided
by; Tropical Smoothie, Coffee

collect 601 pounds of food for
the Food Bank of Eastern
Michigan. This food will make
a total of 500 meals for those in
need. We want to thank all
attendees for coming out to
support the event and for the
great partnership we have with
our co-host, the Swartz Creek
Area Chamber,” remarked Olga
Long, Vice President of

CNXMotion Brings
Their Cars To France
CNXMotion
(pronounced:
Con-Nex-
motion), brings
the future of
autonomous vehicles to
reality. The CNX team
focuses on the advancement of
motion control systems and
actuator components for
automated driving. Just
recently they air freighted one
of their development vehicles
to Paris, France for a
demonstration on the famous
race track named after Jean-
Pierre Beltoise. At the same
time, they had a second
development vehicle in
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
demonstrating a new brake
function that challenges how
the industry typically controls
a vehicles movement.
As for in-house activities,
several new advanced
engineers have joined their
Grand Blanc team. The
company has steadily grown
since 2017 when they began
their joint venture between
Continental and Nexteer
Automotive. The CNXMotion
facility, located on Embury
Rd, is excited about what 2020
holds and is thankful to have a
great community partner, like
Grand Blanc.
GB Township Asks
Community To Get
Involved
Grand Blanc Township
continues to lead the region
attracting business investment
and residents. Taxable value
exceeds $1.3 billion, making
them the highest of the 28
municipalities in Genesee
County. Fenton Township,
which has approximately
$855 million in taxable value,
and Flint Township with
$827 million, are the next two
highest contributors to the
County. Population has
steadily grown from the
36,610 estimate in the 2017
Census. The number of new
residential housing permits
alone in the past few years
indicates continued growth.
The Township continues to
attract investment and
families, while maintaining a
great quality of life. The Dort
Extension, will be mostly
completed this summer and
will add another exit to I-75
providing greater ingress and
egress into the Township. The
recently formed Township
DDA Board is developing a
marketing plan with incentives
to attract developers and
business investment.
Development Ready is a
program that was
conceptualized and being
implemented by
Superintendent, Dennis
Liimatta. This initiative will
allow developers and builders
access to an online portal that
can assist them through all
phases of approvals and
permits around-the-clock.
Unique to this region of
Michigan, it is already being
praised in its testing phase as a
significant benefit to future
investors. The Township
Master Plan has been a year-
long process with meaningful
input from a significant
number of residents and
business owners. The Master
Plan will help direct future
land use and development in
the Township. Township
Board and Planning
Commission Meetings can be
viewed on the Grand Blanc
Township YouTube Channel”.
Government works best when
its citizens are involved in the
process!

Assembly Services?
You Buy We Build will come
to your residence or business
to assemble your new
merchandise. Whether it is a
dollhouse or a gazebo kit, they
can tackle many items that
need to be assembled. Prior to
starting You Buy We Build,
the owner, Landry Holden,
held assembly positions for
big-box stores. He also worked
with vendor companies to
assemble displays and
replenish bikes, barbeque
grills, lawnmowers and other
inventory. Having over 20
years of assembly experience,
he has had many requests from
customers to come and help
assemble merchandise that has
been sitting in boxes for weeks
or even months. Have you ever
purchased merchandise that
you thought was going to
come pre-assembled?
Or, maybe you did not realize
that it would come in so many
pieces. Online purchases are
steadily increasing and “some
assembly is required”. For
those reasons, in 2014, You
Buy We Build was established.
They can make life a lot easier
if all you have to do is buy
what you want for your home

Buying a Home in
Today’s Competitive
Market
If it’s been a while since you
bought your first home, you
may find that things are quite a
bit different in today’s
changing housing market.
For the past few years there
has been a shortage of listings,
or a lack of adequate housing
inventory.
So how do you as a buyer
make yourself more valuable
to a seller?
1. Come prepared to buy –
Today anyone wishing to
successfully purchase their
new home should be ready to
make the deal today. Talk to
your lender before you look,
not after.
2. Eliminate unnecessary
contingencies – A clean and
straightforward offer is easier
for a seller to understand and
decide on.
3. Tell your story – It may
sound silly but remember that
sellers are also buyers too and
understand that buying a home
is a personal decision.

Rep. Sneller Grand
Blanc Coffee Hours Friday, February 28th, from
10-11:30 a.m. at the Grand
Blanc Senior Activity Center,
1632 Pagels Dr, in
Grand Blanc.
Why Do My Neck
And Shoulders Hurt? The most
common
problem found
in the neck is
related to
forward head
posture. Any activity,
including desk work and cell
phone use, that forces a person
to look downward, brings the
head in front of the torso and
out of balance with the rest of
the body. Over time, these
activities cause a straightening
of neck, placing the head more
permanently in the forward
position. In response, the
muscles of the neck and upper
back tighten to compensate for
the poor alignment, causing
pain.
Dr. Cherniawski can determine
the degree of forward head
posture and deliver specific
chiropractic adjustments to
realign the spine, reposition
the head over the torso, reduce
muscle tension, and relieve
neck and shoulder pain.
