I would just like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers, old andnew, a very Happy 2012!
This looks to be a very exciting year for Trinity Arts Centre. We have been given the go
ahead to continue with a programme of events that have proved popular with our audience in
the past. These include theatre, films, music and comedy shows. Alongside this we are
encouraging local groups to come and use the building for their own performances or as a
meeting space.
The council are making a significant investment in the building which will see the roof repaired
and a new more energy efficient boiler installed. These works are scheduled to take place
between January and March this year with no disruption to our programme.
Thank you all for your loyalty and continued custom and support and I hope you enjoy our
programme of events.

The Adventures of Tin Tin (U)Dir: Steven Spielberg 1hr 47mins

movie that has to be seen to be believed.
Setting off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship
Tin Tin and Captain Haddock are soon locked in
breathless combat.
Tickets £4.50 and £3.50
Friday 20th January at 7.30pm
My Week With Marilyn (15)Dir: Simon Curtis 1hr 29mins
Kenneth Branagh, Michelle Williams
Based on the recollections of an eager young
man who became involved with the 1957 film
“The Prince & The Showgirl” starring the
beautiful if neurotic Marilyn Monroe and the
aging Laurence Olivier. This exceptional
comedy-drama is sheer delight from start to
finish. With Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi, and Zoë
Wanamaker.

Saturday 28th January at 7.30pm
Vin GarbuttThe Teesside Troubadour
Powerful, hugely moving, warm, humane,
inspired, funny and gut wrenchingly honest.
These are just some of the superlatives used to
describe Vin's performance. This international,
award winning, singer songwriter is completing
his 42nd year on the road. This year sees the
release of the biopic film "Teesside Troubadour"
documenting Vin's life and career. He is forever in
demand and his shows are continually sell outs,
so get your tickets early!
His songwriting covers topics ranging from
exploitation of foreign workers to unemployment,
oppression, abortion, abuse of agrochemicals,
sexual exploitation, deforestation, cosmetic
surgery, the genocide of Timorese people, road
building, the North/South divide, foetal
experimentation, industrial polution and
emigration, etc. etc. Needless to say there are
many traditional as well as fun songs included. It
is no surprise therefore to find that Vin has ruffled
a few ethical/political feathers by his
comprehensive range of subjects.

The Iron Lady (12A)Dir: Phyllida Lloyd 1hr 45mins
Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent
Meryl Streep does a simply astonishing impersonation
as Margaret Thatcher, rising from being a grocer’s

A blistering character-driven thriller set in the murky

intelligent.

A true account of the love affair between divorcee Wallis
Simpson and King Edward VIII that lead to his
