GERALD MAYHAN MINISTRIES

OUR M ISSION

Gerald Mayhan Ministries is a global evangelistic outreach birthed out of a love for and in obedience to Jesus Christ.

Our mission is to reach many souls

for the Kingdom of God both local-

ly and worldwide (Matthew 28:18-

20).

Our goal is to reach, to touch and to

share the love of Christ with all peo-

ple.

We are committed to preaching the

gospel of Jesus Christ in love, en-

couraging new believers to become a

part of a local church so that they

may mature in their Christian walk,

conducting street meetings to reach

the lost (homeless, drug addicts, al-

coholics) and praying for those with

addictions and for their families.

There is an urgency to be about our

Father’s business (Luke 2:49). We

must work while it is day for the

night cometh when no man can

work (John 9:4).

INSIDE THE STUDY WITH EVANGELIST GERALD MAYHAN

The old is out at 11:59 pm and the new is coming at exactly 12:00 am. Before

midnight, may we let go of the past. 2017 is now the past. The new has to over-

come the old. It is also a good time for God’s people to take inventory of their

walk with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:15, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your

own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, ex-

cept ye be reprobates?”

It is time to learn to forgive

We must learn to forgive. Until we do, we can never go forward. As long as we

live in the past, we are captive and chained to the past. Ask God to give you the

strength you need to choose forgiveness today and every day.

Mark 11:25, “And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:

that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Colossians 3:13, “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any

man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”

It is time to let go of failures

To fail from time to time is only human, but to be a “failure” is to be defeated

by failure, refusing to rise and try again. Christians sometimes believe they

should be immune to failure. God does not promise a life without problems,

sorrow, and, yes, failure. Because we believe in Him, we can get up and count it

a loss knowing that God can use failures as lessons for growth and change.

Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the

Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a

good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ…”

It is time to go forward

We need to examine ourselves and see where we have been, where we are and

where the Lord wants us to be. Second Corinthians 3:15 gives us the oppor-

tunity and the challenge we need to keep moving. We must live like Jesus lived.

KEEPING IT MOVING IN 2018

G IVE THEM JESUS

We had another great Washington, DC Homeless Outreach on Saturday, Dec. 9 with 140 wonderful volunteers from

Moorefield Church of God (WV), Believers Victory Center (WV), Full Gospel (MD), Teen Challenge (Capitol

Heights, MD), Teen Challenge (Baltimore, MD) and First Assembly of God (home church in Alexandria, VA).

God is always faithful to have his people to bless the homeless with gifts and most of all the gift of Jesus. Many souls

were saved in 3 shelters, on the streets and at First Assembly on Sunday morning. Matthew 1:21, “And she shall bring

forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

Thank you for all you did to make this outreach a success! Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good

measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same

measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

First John 2:6 says, “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” We are chal-

lenged to live out the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,

gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”) in our lives day by day.

Let’s KEEP IT MOVING IN 2018!

GERALD MAYHAN MINISTRIES

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

We are truly grateful to the Lord for the ways he touches

your hearts to partner with the Gerald Mayhan Ministries

through prayer and financial support. The love you share is

felt by your giving. Second Corinthians 9:7 says, “Every

man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;

not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful

giver.”

We recognize that you have given generously and willingly

from your own resources. Without donations like yours, we

would not be able to do what we do – reach people with

the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your gifts go a long way in sup-

porting our God-given ministry and we say THANK YOU SO

MUCH!

Please send your donations to Gerald Mayhan Ministries,

PO Box 905, Dumfries, VA 22026.

Our prayer for you comes from Philippians 4:19, “But my

God shall supply all your need according to his riches in

glory by Christ Jesus.”
