DAY/TIMEOFBOARDMEETINGS:BoardmeetingswillbeheldonthethirdMondayofeachmonth.ThenextboardmeetingisMonday,February18,2019,at6:30p.m.attheClubhouse.FY2019BUDGET:Theregularmembershipduesincreasedtoaneven$376.00perunit/permonthandtookeffectDecember1,2018.Ifyouuseauto-pay,remembertochangeyourmonthlypaymentamount.BEAUTIFULHOLIDAYDECORATIONS:Thedecorationswerebeautifulthisholiday

season.Thewalk-of-lightsattheDanaPointmarinaareawerefantastictosee.Ifyouhavenotcheckedthisareaoutduringtheholidays,itisworththedrivetosee.Checkitoutnextyear.Thecommunitywishestosaythank-youtoourfestiveGlenwoodresidentswhodecoratedandlituptheirhomesthisholidayseason.Glenwoodwasfestiveandbeautifultosee.Eventheclubhousewasdressedintheholidayspirit.Thank-youAnnZendner,PatandKenMiddlebrooks,andAndyLuzifortheircontributionsintimeand/ordecorations.

POOLVOLUNTEERS:ThankstoStoneKastle,ourpoolvolunteersarebeingnotifiedatthebeginningoftheirvolunteerpoolmonth.Abigthank-youtoCindyandMadisonTorresforbeingthepoolvolunteersforNovemberandDecember.

ThereisnopoolvolunteerforJanuary,butVirginiaLuzihelpedoutforthefirstcoupleofweeksinJanuary.ThepoolvolunteerforFebruaryisAndyLuzi.Thank-youbothforbeingpoolvolunteers.PleaseletDonaGoetzknowofanyproblemswithyourpoolschedule.

POOLHEATER:PoolheaterwasturnedoffDecember31.ItwillbeturnedbackinApril.POOLAREA:Glenwood’spoolvolunteersareyourneighbors.Pleasebeconsiderateoftheworkthatthepoolvolunteersdo,bydisposingofyourowntrash,washingupanyspills,wipingofftableswhenused,andreturningfurniturebacktooriginalpositionandlocationafteruse.POOLVOLUNTEERSNEEDED:Thenumberofpoolvolunteershasdwindledoverthelasttwoyears.Peoplehaveeithermovedaway,ornolongerabletohelpoutthewaytheyusedtointhepast.Ifyouusethepool,ifyouhavekidsthatusethepool,stepforwardandvolunteer.PleasecontactDonaGoetzandletherknowhowyoucanhelpout.Remember,ifwedon’tdoit,theAssociationwillhavetopayavendortodoit.Thiswouldbeanaddedoperatingcost,whichwouldeventuallyincreasetheAssociationfeesthatwepay.Thesearechoicesthatwemakeasacommunity.SPEEDLIMITONGLENWOODSTREETS: RememberthatthepostedspeedlimitforGlenwoodis15mph.Personswhoexceedthepostedspeedlimitaresubjecttofineandassumefullresponsibilityintheeventofaccidentorinjury.Glenwoodhaschildren,pets,andpeoplewhoarewalkingabout.Personswhoexceedthepostedspeedlimitaresubjecttofineandassumefullresponsibilityintheeventofaccidentorinjury.

PAINTINGPROJECTTOSTARTIN2019:ThepaintingprojectwillnotstartuntilMarchorearlyAprilof2019.Eachhomewilltakeabout3daystocompleteandworkhourswillbebetween8amand4:30pm.TheBoardwillkeephomeownerspostedontheexactstartdate.Thecolorschemeremainsunchanged.Hutton,thevendorselectedbytheBoard,willpainttheexteriorwoodandmasonryofall68unitsandclubhouse.Thewoodpaintingincludestheeaves,fascia,siding,beams,posts,windowtrim,garagedoors/garagetrim,andbalconyrailings.Huttonwillalsobepaintingguttersanddownspouts,wroughtiron,andlampposts.HuttonwillalsobepaintingtheredcurbsinGlenwood.Hutton’sscopeofworkalsoincludesusingasatinmarinevarnishonhomeownerfrontdoors.Whenyourbuildingunitisbeingpainted,thepaintcontractorwillcontactyoutomakeappointmenttovarnishfrontdoor,whichincludesthesmallliparounddoor.Hutton’sscopeofworkDOESNOTINCLUDEhomeownerpatios,patiocovers,homeownerwoodfences,oranythingthatwasnotpreviouslypainted.

REMINDER:Eachhomeownerisresponsibleformakingwoodrepairsthatareneededtotheirunitpriortopainting.Anywoodreplacedbyawoodreplacementcontractorshouldbebenchprimedbeforeinstallation.Thecostofanywoodrepairsisahomeownercost.FIVECRAPEMYRTLETREES:Inlate2018,theBoardapprovedtheplantingoffivecrapemyrtletrees.Thesetreeshavebeenplanted,andwillhelpimprovethelookofthewalkwayareaalongthefencingbyLemonHill.Thesetreeswerealsoplantedincommemorationofthemanyyearsofservicefrompriorlandscapecommitteememberswhohavemovedaway:JaniceNoren,CarolynEckert,andMaryRupp.Thecostforplantingthefivetreeswas$475.00.Severalmemberssteppedforwardandmadedonationsforthisproject.ThedonationsreducedtheAssociation’scosttoabout$190.PICKINGUPAFTERYOURPET:IthasbeenreportedthatinthemorninghoursalargedoghasbeenleavingdogwasteonlawnsontheCircle.Ifyousee,orknowofownerswhoarenotpickingupaftertheirpets,pleasereporttheinformationtoDonaGoetzatStoneKastlesoappropriateactioncanbetaken.JUNKANDDISPOSALITEMREMINDER:Remember,theBoardhasestablisheda$100(One-hundreddollar)fineifbulkdisposalitems(thingsthatdon’tfitintoyourtrashcontainer)--arenotpickedupwithina24-hourperiod--afterplacedinoutsideareasthatarevisibletothecommunity,suchasthestreet,driveway,porch,orlawn.Bulkitemsbeingdisposedofmustbekeptinyourhomeorgarageuntiltimelypickupisscheduled.BULKTRASHPICK-UPINFORMATION:TheFullertontrashcompanyisMGDisposal-ARepublicServicesCompany.Torequestbulkwastepickup,gototheirwebsite,orcall714-238-2444.Thewebsiteaddressis:https://www.republicservices.com/residents/bulk-wastePOOLCOMMITTEE:ThereisstillnoPoolCommitteechair.Ifyouareinterested,pleasecontactDonaGoetz.
