Question of the Week A Gift for All People
In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, “Where is the Child: who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.”
• Isaiah 60:1-6 - Glory of the new Zion • Ephesians 3:2-3a, 5-6 - Commission topreach
God's plan • Matthew 2:1-12 - The visit of the magi
Adults: The Magi were strangers from another land. How do you welcome immigrants and strangers in the name of Christ? Kids: What could you do to be like a star and lead someone to know about Jesus? Baptizing your child at St. Tim’s Requirements for having your child baptized at St. Timothy include attendance at a pre-baptism class. The next class is Monday evening, January 6 at 7:00. Please preregister by calling 763.784.1329. Nursery available during Sunday Masses We have a staffed nursery open on Sunday mornings during the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses. It is located in the lower level of the parish center and is open to children ages 1 through 5. No pre-registration is necessary. For more information or to volunteer please call the office at 763.784.1329. Social Justice Prayer for Peace All are welcome to join the social justice committee in praying for peace. We meet in the east room in the back of church or at the peace site bench outside (weather permitting) following the 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. Masses. “Never has the use of violence brought peace in its wake. War begets war, violence begets violence.” Pope Francis I Pray in our Chapel There is a small chapel on the first floor of our parish center. You are welcome to come to this chapel for quiet prayer during parish office hours. Note that our weekday rosary and Masses are held in this chapel.
