Praying Together as a Parish Set your watch or smart phone to remind you to pray during this hour of grace, daily. Wherever we are, we can pray together and for one another. We pray at least one “Hail, Mary” for our parish family.

Upcoming this February: Teaching Masses

As we continue to celebrate the Year of the Eucharist in our diocese, we use this privileged time to deepen our un-derstanding and appreciation of this wonderful sacrament.

The next teaching Masses will take place on the week-end of February 10-11. If you have questions regarding parts of the Holy Mass, please write them down and hand them to Father Edison on February 3-4.

Every time we celebrate Mass, we return to the Upper Room.

Gift others with an intention for the Holy Mass. Mass intentions support our parish.

Diocese of Rochester Public Policy Committee

2018 Public Policy Advocacy Weekend: February 10/11, 2018

Advocacy Issue: Passage by Congress of The Dream Act

Jesus' word in the Gospel of Mark has the power to heal. Jesus speaks in the synagogue and casts out an unclean spirit. Those who are present react with amazement. Later this becomes a cause of division among the people. As a nation, we suffer many divisions including opinions about who we will accept as legal residents of our country. The DREAM Act has strong bi-partisan support because those who are eligible have already fulfilled certain conditions. They have been edu-cated in our schools and earned a college degree or its equiva-lent in a two-year training program or have served honorably in our military. Persons who qualify go through a step by step process including eight years of conditional residence to apply for legal permanent residence. Applying for citizenship status may require up to another five years of residence.

Rochester Catholic Women’s Conference The Power of the Eucharist —

Glorifying God and Sanctifying the World March 10, 2018, 8:00 AM, The Aquinas Institute

1127 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14613 Registration is open online at Rochestercwc.org.

Speakers: Dr. Edward Sri is a theologian, author and well-known Catholic speaker who appears regular-ly on EWTN. He is a founding leader with Curtis Martin of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) and serves as a professor of theology and Vice-President of Mis-sion and Outreach at the Augustine Institute in Denver, CO.

Danielle Bean, a wife and mother of eight, is the former editor-in-chief of Catholic Digest. Danielle is also creator and host of The Gist, a weekly Catholic women’s television talk show in production of its seventh season on CatholicTV and author of several books. She has a special heart for mothers, particularly those who struggle. She encourages women of all ages and stages of life to find humor in daily challenges and the joy God intends for every one of us.

Something to Keep in Mind! We highly encourage the use of electronic fund transfer

(EFT). This method lessens the work of our weekly money counters as the bank generates the report for our parish. If any question concerning EFT, please call Maureen O’Connor at 924-7111.

To parishioners who are currently getting envelopes, but do no to use them, we ask that they inform the office (call Kim Reese at 924-7111) to cancel their subscription of these enve-lopes. Know that whether these envelopes are used or not, our parish pays for them.

Thank you for your continuing support of our parish!
