oclock this morning, he had the entire band

in sync with each other after all, these are

some ne high school musicians we have here

in northeast Montana with students from Malta,

Whitewater, Saco, Hinsdale, Opheim, Glasgow,

Nashua, Frazer, Lustre, Poplar, Wolf Point

Scobey, Plentywood, and Culbertson. They wil

practice all day together (the choir was practicing

in the auditorium) for this evenings concert

which begins at 6:30 in the GHS gymnasium

The adult concert fee is $5; student fee is

$3. Everyone is encouraged to come out for a

spectacular night of music.

individual titles in Harlem Te Scotty wrestlers were at the Harlem Invitationaon Saturday where things went pretty well or CoachJory Casterlines crew as he had nine o his kids placeourth or better.

Te Scotsmen won the meet with 140 points

ollowed by the Chinook Beeters with 117, MaltaMustangs 103, and the host Wildcats with 81 team pointsto round out the top our o the 15-team tournament.

Winning individual titles were Gabe Hallock (103)Matt Reyling (113), Kasey Seyert 132) and Cody King(145). Placing 2nd was Mick Reyling (138) while AlexHallock (152) and Jaden Hughes ((205) both won theirconsolation matches or 3rd place. Mitch Overvold(126) and errick Sanders (182) placed 4th.

Its that time o year when ice anglers are appearingon Montanas waters or the ice fishing season. Icefishing is a great way to enjoy the winter weather and tocatch some nice fish. However, Montana Fish, Wildlieand Parks remind ice anglers that saety should be thenumber one concern during a day out on the ice. While there is fishable ice in most areas already,some o the larger water bodies like Fort Peck Reservoirjust roze over this past week. While the first ice o theyear ofen offers some o the best fishing, it also can bequite variable rom location to location and rom day today. Anglers should be amiliar with the water body theyplan to fish, or go with someone who knows that waterand how ice tends to orm and change there. Te saestice anglers are those who pay as much attention to thecondition o the ice as they do the fishing conditions.

In FWP Region 6, there are dozens o water bodiesthat have windmills operating to keep dissolved oxygenflowing to fish and other aquatic lie through the longwinters. However, according to Havre-area BiologistCody Nagel, it can also change the ice conditions. Anglers need to be extra careul about venturingonto any ice where these windmills are operatingbecause the action o the aerators can weaken or thinthe ice, Nagel said. A good rule o thumb is that i yousee a windmill operating out on a pond or reservoir, youshould use extreme caution.

And when on the ice, remember: I you have even the slightest doubt about the saety

o the icestay off it. No fish is ever worth a all intorigid water.

Blue ice is usually hard. Watch out or opaque, graydark or porous spots in the ice that could be weaksof areas. Ice also tends to thin more quickly at theshorelines.

Te ollowing are considered to be MINIMUMSneeded with ice thickness:
