A New Cycle

With so many Happy New Year messages in every email this week, I feel like our best wishes may just be another ‘’flat’’ message. And when in PR, you typically want to avoid shallow messages. So I’ll elaborate a bit more about the meaning of a new year. 2018 has been exciting and very full of beautiful events, launches and new places to discover. In other terms, I haven’t seen this year. It just ‘swooshed’ so fast. In 2019, I wish our industry would let us catch our breath, slow down a little bit sometimes when we need to focus on one important idea, or spend more time ‘’doing’’ than planning. Will it ever happen ? Not quite sure when I take a look at what we have already up to here. But, no one said it was for-bidden to hope. So here’s to hoping folks, because 2019 brings lots of style, design, hotels, galleries, and

pieces that we’re already excited to introduce to you. We’ll meet some of you in Paris very soon for Maison&Objet, where our Pari-sian team is cooking the greatest show for our local clients, while in the US we kick off 2019 with the programming of WantedDesign delivered in your inbox no later than January 9. Being the only in-dependent show on NYCxDESIGN busy schedule, we take some pride in this mission representing such a dynamic venture. Other good news? Atelier de Yavorsky has just finished revamping an iconic hotel in Saint Barth, Le Se-reno, photos coming soon, and Laufen has been awarded for the second year in a row with a BOY Award. A perfectly happy way to ignite 2019!
