“The Great Bend Christian” January 2018 Vol. 51 No. 1 Sunday, January 21st, we are starting a new sermon se- ries which puts into perspective what it takes, and what is ex- pected of us when we say “yes” to following Jesus. This is a series that all Christians need to hear so we can find and keep our priorities straight. Our new service "The Refuge" is beginning January 21st at 11 am. We are so excited about this new service because we believe it is going to add to what we already do well, and help us continue to reach out to the over 8,000 people in our area who don't know Christ or have a church home. If you are related to or know someone who needs a service like this, please tell them all about it, and invite them to come. We also ask that everyone will continue to pray that God will use this service to help us live out our mission of "Inspiring ordinary people to live extraordinary lives for Christ." Thanks to everyone who gave for Giving Tuesday. Because of your generosity, $12,425 was raised with a match of $2,296.87 making a total of $14,721.87.

Vol. 51 No. 1

Sunday, January 21st, we

are starting a new sermon se-

ries which puts into perspective

what it takes, and what is ex-

pected of us when we say “yes”

to following Jesus.

This is a series that all

Christians need to hear so we

can find and keep our priorities

straight.

We also ask that everyone will continue to pray that God will use this service to help us live out our mission of "Inspiring ordinary people to live extraordinary lives for Christ."

Thanks to everyone who gave

for Giving Tuesday.

Because of your

generosity, $12,425 was

raised with a match of

$2,296.87

making a total of $14,721.87.

We want to thank everyone in the church

who prayed and has been praying for Don’s

surgery and recovery and William’s health

issues. They are both doing better.

Also, thank you to Rev. Josh for coming to

Wichita and sitting with us during Don’s sur-

gery and all the phone calls to check up on

Don and William.

We appreciate all the prayers and concerns.

Don, Brenda, Julie, Sarah and

William Jones

Thank you, First Christian Church, for the

Christmas basket filled with goodies! Thanks,

also, to the ladies that brought it to me.

Thanks for thinking of me!

Ione Strohm

We want to thank all the people

for the large sack of things that was

brought to us. It had things in it we

would not of thought of.

Thank you, also, for the sack of

fruit that was with it.

We also want to thank the 2 ladies

who brought the sack to us.

Sam & Anneliese Ward Dear Church Family, Words cannot express our sincere “Thank You” to you. The love and concern was overwhelming. Merlin loved his church and enjoyed being involved. Your kindness will never be forgotten! The Grimes Family

We are thankful for you and your business, therefore a gift has been made in your honor to Water for South Sudan

because 17% of South Sudan’s population does not have access to

clean water (that’s over 2 million people). Happy Thanksgiving

from everyone at McClelland Sound, Inc.

Dear Friends, Jennifer brought your generous gifts for Operation Christmas Child by today. What joy these boxed treasures will bring to the child who gratefully receives each one! Your thoughtfulness and caring for others in this joyous way shows you are the hands and feet of Christ. Thank you for partnering in this mission! Grace Community Church

Dear Friends,

I want to express my gratitude for

your gift to Samaritan’s Purse. We truly

appreciate your generous investment in

what God is doing through this ministry.

We would be grateful for your prayers

as we help hurting people around the

worlds in Jesus’ Name and share the

Gospel. “This is how God showed his

love among us: He sent his one and

only Son into the world that we might

live through him” (I John 4:9).

May God bless you!

Sincerely,

Franklin Graham
